Re stock in feb/march. The 80 looks like a great base to start from. Great uplift bike. We wait!

Been on clipless all summer in the Highlands and riding well. Hit the slop in them a few days ago and felt like a total noob! Back to flats!

Gripper combo is excellent. I run supershield front and rear. Excellent speed and grip. Going into winter usually throw a hot seat on the front.

Needs a regular build day for the off piste and some freshing up on the regular trails. A lot of hard work.

Its fun on my hybrid in the snow. I worked on Distraction but its a losing battle. Was great one time only summer 2018 when it was bone dry.

I get a few months out of trail wides in Scotland. Have to use enduro-wides orfortus30! I barely feel the difference.

Everyone hates one until they go ride some choppy steep sh1t and fall in love with it.

The Moxie Mx3 rides really well. I took it around the Golfie in the Scottish Borders and was really impressed what you can throw it down and not get that beat up. Previous HT bikes were a BFE max and a Torrent S1. They just felt a little harsher and no way as confident on the rough tracks there.

I have a RIPMO and another steel FS both 160mm forked bikes and I think riding steeper terrain I actually prefer the Moxie. I have a 160mm dvo fork and hunt enduro wheels and it feels great. It also climbs fantastic. Most rides I will take it over the FS bikes. A long all day rough mountain ride/munro I will take a fs bike or as of late just switch to clips for that.

I did New wolf, NY NY then over to Big Baw and back again to do flat white and Community Service. Was pretty shot at the end. On a steel HT which is really fun on Caberston. Community Service on it was ace.

Just don’t warm up by mistake like I did on Nae Spleen.

I am 5ft 11, Ride a long and it is perfect. Tried the longer and it feels too big around corners and tight terrain. I have a 160mm fork on mine and in 29er mode and it rides rougher terrain better than my ripmo and ends up being a pretty addictive bike!

Great riding frame. I spent a few months on one in the Tweed Valley. Amazingly capable bike.

50/01 ride pants? Plenty long and fitted. 6ft 2 and a medium is perfect with 35″ inseam.

I struggled to piece together an ‘Enduro’ last week. Managed to find a 213mm Bikeyoke dropper and had to drive far to get it. My fork vendor was out of most stuff so had to pull a 160mm DVO from my RIPMO. Needed some spares for a Box groupset but SOL so its back to the trusty, well beaten 1x11XTR/E13.9-46 combo from my 2018 capra. Managed to find new SLX 2 piston brakes as I could not find the brakes I wanted. Pleasantly surprised by how good they are. Wait weren’t we all using 2 piston brakes for big mountain riding once?

Things are crazy. Listed two Ibis ripmo 2021 frames and no takers. Both with cascade links on the side. Found the links made a big difference to the jade X on my XL ripmo.

    Sweet bike OP

With new prices and availability pretty shot for the next year I would be tempted to spruce up something older like a Reign or 2017 Mega. I tried this recently in the Tweed Valley. On a non boost 2016 Giant reign 1. Holy smokes what a bike!

I wish I picked up one of the sunny yellow ones. I used one for a week in the tweed valley and it was a really fun bike. I am getting a custom FS 170/156mm FS made at the moment for park/enduro riding.

    Rocketmax is in stock!

Low batch bike but probably better than any carbon or AL bike I have tested for ride feel and just flat out speed up and down. Pretty much 3 things I look for. If it beats a Norco optic/sight c1/ripmo up and down and feels better its an ace bike.

I have a steel 142mm FS 29er that is faster than most carbon or AL bikes I have tested. I use the Norco Optic/Sight and RIPMO as fast bikes ‘all round’ benchmark.

low powered airsoft spring pistol. like 30fps. You can see the bb fly. Get a small colt .38 auto replica. Harmless with such a short barrel. I harass the wood pigeons all the time who crap on the side of my parapet walk. Use biodegradable bbs.

Whatever happened to the MRP Bartlett? Never ever saw a review. Anywhere. I used one on my supreme sx and it was great for 2018.

Dear oh deer’ thats a trail in Alva.

Dollar would test the high pivot nicely on the heritage trail and rough Dh lines. The other half can session the middle dh trail and lonely tree and in 2 hrs you would have a good idea how it climbs and descends. Easy parking too. I am not sure anything else would be much of a test for the high pivot besides maybe up to Dunkeld or some other big mountain type ride.

I need to join the golf club for vip Golfie parking.

I have had a 170mm AXS Reverb since sept 2020. Pretty much every other day use around Stirling and second home in the tweed valley. No issues at all. Just need a longer drop. My ripmo needs a 200mm post and it will sit pretty flush.

All my cable droppers froze this last winter on Caberston and also on the Ochils in snow. They did not last long after those freeze events. Oneup/BikeYoke200mm. AXS not an issue down to negative temps.

Glentress is pretty fun. Brown Troot great on a hangover. Especially in its current state.

You only need a musket, cap n ball revolver and a sword. Simple. Remington 1858 good enough then and good enough now. Lots of smoke gives you time to run away.

Time to cardio before breakfast. Sprints. 20 sec jog then sprint for 10 secs going back into the 20 sec jog etc. Do this twice per minute. Spend 5 minutes on it. You will be ripped if your diet is clean. If it is safe for you to run!

I have tested the 141 and its a very easy bike to get on with. Climbs really well and far more engaging than the 161. Great price too.
Ripmo AF also excellent. One of the nicest all round bikes to ride IMO.
Steelwise a Morph FS Custom geo build also excellent. A very fast and playful steel FS 29er. We have taken ours all over the UK and lastly Ft William for testing.

I think 160 front and 140 ish rear is ideal for anything in the UK. I used to swear by the 2020 Norco Optic which is a really fast bike up and down the hill. Just on long days that lack of travel and anything big mountain you will fatigue much quicker in the rough.
