Just built this up taken me 4 months to get the parts

That Evol is cool. How does it ride? You get a lot of bike for your money there. Looks really capable.

I just do the frame thing and build up to how I want it. Recently ditched all my AXS stuff from my bikes and with the money got a new 22 Patrol frame and went Advent X on the other few frames (even a gravel bike). On drivetrains and droppers I will never go big money again up here in Scotland.
Been very impressed with brandX and advent X so far. Also tyre wise. Dropped Maxxis for MSC and never looked back. The Hotseat works really well. Better than the Shorty/Dhr2 setup I was using around Dunkeld/Aberfeldy and Pitlochry.

Econo options and riding every other day it makes sense. Over the summer will just pack a spare Advent X mech in the toolbox. I did put money into suspension and brakes.

Iroko is a great frame. I prefer it to even LLS hardtails like the BFE Max, Norco Torrent, Moxie etc. Just such a fun poppy bike when built up and very capable. That price is unbeatable for what the frame is capable of.

I got the Mountain warehouse Illuminate Softshell (don’t laugh). I have enough Gucci gear and after seeing a fellow freerider using it and all the abuse out in the woods I was sold. Pretty impressed with it. I use an XL, Have a 50″ chest and it is still a bit loose. Works well this time of year. Takes a beating. For under 40GBP!

I use large 50/01 ride pants and have a 34″ waist and 34″inseam. It fits well waist wise. Leg length spot on.

The trailwides are really fragile IMO and I would use them on a XC or hybrid frame. I went with the endurowide v2 on both enduro sleds and no issues other than the main hub bearings going out pretty quick. 6903s seem to last a season in there tops.

The mx3 rides really nice. Very smooth over everything in 29er 160mm form. You will not be disappointed. One the better riding frames out there.

Maybe it is just me but after spending time on the highlander and druid I just seem to burn out quicker on long rides. Quicker than on say a full steel moxie with a beefy build or a ripmo AF. Definitely would not do the ews100 on it. IMO.

5ft11, 510mm reach seems ideal with 35mm stem. Long inseam and arms. Anything less I seem to crash more. Got 3 hardtails 470, 490 and 510 reach. Seem to ride the 510 the best. Anything smaller I just feel off. A trip to the Tweed Valley the last few weeks with all bikes confirmed this to me. Had a lot time to ride the Golfie back to back.

Close to Stirling. Front wall came down. Back fence. Every neighbour losing roof tiles. Some sheds blown into the street. Oh joy.

So do you prefer the last gen you tested? That was a pretty dialled bike.

My family run a eco resort overseas and have about 20 enduro ebikes for rent for use in the mountains around their camp. They swear by the current e7000 on all bikes after having a lot of issues with the e8000 and newer Ep. Do not be put off my the current e7000 motor on more budget ebike builds. It is a pretty reliable unit.

Aye, seemed more like Inners DH grade which would have been more fun on the right bike.

I know, I did it on my hardtail. Was missing the FS though at the end of it :P

We were up the mast as well on two hardtails. Went down trail fairy plan on to the lower blacks for a few laps. Trail fairy plan is pretty blown out in sections and has got much deeper. Still fun and testing for Glentress.

I went up around Dumyat and explored the upper Jerah plantation. There is a nice bit of trail up there I was not expecting.

Not fully UK made but a Uk company using a bespoke builder in France. Plans to bring it fully to the UK. Morph Cycles do a fast 140mm trail bike. Custom geo. Very well built. They have tested the bike in Scotland hard over 2 winters.

For me its between the Moxie Ht for steep terrain and a Pinnacle Lithium 3 flat bar hybrid for everything else.

What size bearings are they? I will probably go the same route after one changeout with Hunt.

    Thanks!

The last thing I want to do right now is send them back and be without wheels for the next few weeks. Something is out of alignment for sure. Will try get some bearings I guess. :(

The Moxie can take a 170mm 27.5 fork which puts the ac at the same as a 150mm 29er. It is such a fun bike in that guise. Its a very fast frame. See the Enduro reviews. It needs a very beefy build though.

The Sirius may be better. You can xc build it for miles and also enduro it up and it will not hurt the capability of the frame. The Moxie is pretty num with a shorter travel setup.

I have a pair of new 2 rides trailwides and the rear when testing it by hand feels really notchy. Front is silky smooth. :(

My Burgtec chainring did the same thing with Eagle. Drove me nuts. XX1 drivetrain sounding like my beat to sh1t box groupset.

I usually will ride clips in the summer around the tweed valley np. That day though or those conditions I would switch to flats. Mostly do/did that anyway every winter when I lived in Innerleithen.

Possible to run a 160mm fork with this frame?

The Moxie is excellent. Really capable bike and probably one of the best descenders and climbers around. Cannot beat the price either and it is a beautiful frame. On ride feel and all round comfort it is hard to beat. In mullet mode with a 150 29er fork, plus sized back tyre it is excellent for anything in the UK. Overland, enduro trails, park. It will do it all.
