Need a longer chain. It’s heavy but feels good down the street. 175mm cranks may need changing too. Was stoked a 180mm rear rotor fitted.

Nice 😎 black on black is the way forward, hides the fact it’s an On One perfectly 😂

haha I like it. This one will get very abused.

I track mine weekends on a I30N and get about 5-7k a set. Great tyres on a hatch. Traction in most conditions.

under 2 day shipping. It is a very well made frame. Great welds. Makes my Rune look small. Both large.

Will build up tomorrow then hit the local (Dollar)

Raceface stash vest works well if you can find one.

Nukeproof bib with thigh and back pockets and no need to wear separate padded shorts. I stuff mine with food, hydrapak500ml, Small med kit and a small ziplock with a spare cable, patches, mag tabs, money.

I ordered a large version. Nice 36gbp off with the code. Will see how a 170mm Zeb (taller than a 170 lyrik) and 27.5×2.5″ works out. Thanks for the info above. I have had a few hardtails like the BFE max, Moxies and Torrents. Will see how this compares.

I have a 170mm 27.5 zeb ultimate and some sixth element pro enduro wheels. I could just save the re-sale loss and fit them to this frame. It will be slack, I did this to one of my moxies with a 170mm Yari and 27.5 wheels and the geo ended up the same as a moxie in 29er form with a 160mm fork.

Can these frames take a 180mm rotor?

Thanks for the insight. I have been through two moxies in long and longer the last 2 years and they were a blast. Preferred the hardtail to the full moxie.
At this price though for a nice frame it is tempting. Even though back on a FS I do miss the hardtail a bit. I liked the pipedreams as they had an ED coating so did not rust much over 2 years.

Does this ride better than a Moxie MX3? The Mx3 you can launch into most things and make it out. I used a longer one around the tweed valley and it was brilliant. I used to warm up on nae spleens before it was lost and what a fun bike.

What is the quality of this frame like? Will the tube-set last a few seasons? That price is crazy. I can get a set of garden tools for that price at Dobbies :P

    Some nice pics above.

I got back off a gig and just stayed around the local. Nice and quiet. Some raking. Nice and chilled.

I just hit the local on clips which has some pretty steep sections laced with roots. Still damp and slippery. Nerves still in that sort of grease. There is truth to being locked in and committed though. Last few flat pedal rides have not felt really connected to the bike and just seem all over the place. Conditions and fitness maybe. Feet never in the right place.

I got a Marin El Roy in Grande. Long bike but really fun when it gets steep and rough. Reach 510 at ETT 647/78deg SA. Got back on my old 2018 capra CF today in large and it feels tiny.

I switch to clipless on dry tracks or over the summer. It is sublime when grip can be trusted and you do not have to worry about foot placement and just commit. The minute local gets slippy in fall/winter I am terrible on them and back to flats! No idea how racers in the UK do it in the slop. Just mad skills really. See Liam Moy or Joe Barnes up here. I scratch my head.

Some steep areas where I live and it is more about safety in the mountains I may go to flats. For me it is terrain and weather dependant I guess. Maybe I just suck.

I have the 2021 in black. Nice bike and strong brakes. Even handles offroad in the hills. RRP was 550.

Everyone makes fun of me wearing that helmet around Glentress.

Oman is a great place to ride in the winter. Been some great trail development the last 5 years. When I lived there I think I was the only person in the country with a boost enduro rig and a canyon sender for big mountain freeride.

I think a fatbike revival is looong due.

    Agreed.

I’d sling one in the van for summer around the Islands.

    OR

    For tweed valley uplift

Starting slow. Cheapened up my Rune and tested it after a few months off the bike on the local loop.

I got my advent X stuff from KidsRacing 10 speed Advent X

Works really well on my winter Moxie Mx3 hardtail. 11-48 cassette still climbs anything. Do not think I will be going back to 1×12 AXS it replaced. For the performance and terrain up in Scotland makes total sense. Not a worry at all. Money into suspension & brakes but for droppers and driveline not too bothered. A season here just kills it if you ride through winter.

Posted on the MTBR Banshee page (by me.)

I have a Rune V3 and this was really helpful from that page. Great bike to work on.

Really capable frame. For the price of the frame and the performance it is hard to beat. Build a really nice spec’d unit with advent x, RS 35s, NP wheels for small money.

My whole family both sides are all current/former mil and we do not really talk about UKR. Waste of time. Till it shows up on our doorstep maybe we will give a sh1t.

    Privateer 141 too heavy.

    Too heavy for what?

Its a great bike to ride. Not heavy at all and long trips and on the way down you can huck some pretty big stuff.

Some elements of Russian SF capable but we wait to see the application in Ukraine. What concerns me about the Russians is how they play dirty at an agent level. Toxins, microwaves etc. Just takes them to start on our water supplies. They would not think twice if pushed.

They win by just blowing sh1t up usually. I met some during a training thing in the middle east. Their solution to every raid or room entry is RPG the room.

Anyone see the report from Sky News crew on their ambush? F me. Crazy.

They are all lucky. Stuart especially.

He needs some ‘press blue’ armour and a helmet asap.

I honestly think 1000 mounted knights, men at arms, some archers could drive the regular russian infantry back right now. Iron sighted Aks across the board, nobody with night vision. You can’t see or hit sh1t anyway.

Just just hope the powers at be on our side sort this out and this is not taken to the next level. We have a lot to lose. Just getting over covid this is just what we do not need. We need to get back on track.

I have worked 18+ years in counter terrorism. Ran a hostage rescue team in europe, africa and the middle east. I don’t respect the Russians much after seeing how they play in theatre at the agent level. That is what scares me.
