Ive bought nods that price and even a vessel ascending assault system double that. At the tip of the spear all you care about is operating.

That is meant to attach to an armour panel using molle or pals. It could be just a team buy. In my team we bought stuff all the time with our own funds. Better armour, plates, holsters. Even night vision as a lot of issue stuff is usually pretty middle of the range and worse.

I use something similar and just have it hanging in the van for extra h20. Hate cans and bottles moving around.

I plan to throw a 190mm Zeb on one with the advent X short cage mech etc. Just so happens my twice a week commute goes via Glencoe. Also plenty of stuff to session around Scotland. Push up not that bad. Regulary stop by the roadside and pushup to ride stuff.

Bless him for trying to patch some of the trail. I have a stash up there that usually gets stolen or moved around. Gets annoying. Never seen anyone doing work up there but it usually does not need much.

The worst damage I have seen is from my wtb senderos on my flatbar roadrat. Cuts deep.

On an eeb? Or are you Chris Hoy in disguise?

Banshee Titan. The supertacky compound is hard as rock this time of year.

I ride those trails every few days and occasionally work on those trails. Not sure that skidding makes that much of a difference tbh, certainly not on the witches side. I have seen more damage done in the wet by 25kg ebikes just lapping that loop into winter. I ride dual wetscreams and does not seem to leave much of a mark as you are not sliding everywhere in the current conditions.

I have 2 pot SLX units with the larger pistons and around Scotland never had issues even on longer tracks of the tweed valley. Underrated brake tbh. Remember using the older silver Deore in the alps and that was the standard no issues.

I went through a lot of good bigger bikes and settled on the optic in size large @6ft back in 2020. I have still tried to find a better bike and actually for Tweed Valley riding I do not think in my case there is a better bike. Yes it has 125mm rear travel but it is a DH shock. It is a really fast bike. Climbs really really well and down the hill there are few bikes that can match it tbh. Super rough tracks or a long day out you maybe will be a bit more battered but for the speed and ride feel I have not found a bike close to it that makes me smile so much. Just a pity no support and not many around. I had my original C2 stolen then picked up a frame only ebay special and built it back up. I have a pretty good bike fleet of newer longer travel bikes and most cases I will pick the Optic for group rides or riding with ebikes.

Tell me about it. Day 14 damn Coroni. Just starting to snow about 400 meters now on the hill above where I live. Desperate to get up for even just a photo.

    OMG that looks amazing.

I have had some toast. Had Coroni for two weeks, floored with headaches and extreme nausea. I want to have an appetite so bad.

The chippy here is so good and I am missing out.

Fluid is a great bike. Not far off my optic (fastest bike I have ever ridden up and down anything tweed valley)

UDH and much better seat tube on the new Mythique. Will make a fun winter bike as having the shock out back will actually help traction! Tempting. Lets see how it is received.

I have a custom steel FS frame from Morph which has been amazing so far. 140mm/140mm Mullet, its a blast. If I had more money I would go the route of Actofive and their CNC’d Ptrain and just maybe the Voima as my side ebike.

Walked then biked the site. The hill is gorgeous with loads of potential. The existing trail is really fun and fast. Ends beautifully through a small glade/burn. I wish them all the best it is an excellent site. The uplift road is going in already.

My family have a road background going back to the 70s. Ran a bike shop etc. They have all talked about ED and cycling since I was a kid. Mid 90s I first heard them talking about it. These were 40 year olds at the time. Just seen it crop up every few years in the media and a few papers here and there. They were meticulous with saddle fitment and that seemed to be the best prevention if you ride seated a lot. My dad did have a doctor in the 90s tell him to stop riding his bike as they were convinced it was from being seated for that once a week 100km ride. He stopped riding and never had issues. He stopped cycling entirely and took up spearfishing instead.

I do find that a big ride with a lot of climbing just kills hardness/feeling for a few days (5/10). If I go Jib all day our push up I am not nearly so off and things are totally different (10/10 and good feedback).

Only solution for me. Heavy weights and Freeride.

Still on x2 Argotal for Tweed Valley riding. Crazy grip in all things steep and wet. Not slow either which is nice.

I got those brakes on my 190mm single crown freeride nukeproof dissent. Surviving Glencoe. Really impressed with them. What a steal.
