Great looking bike Andy. Almost exact spec as my 120, even same tyre setup. Got me really excited for Friday now.

Agreed Russy, needs pictures. Nearly went for a 145 myself but decided the 120 is better for my riding. Take delivery on Friday. Gone for the same spec as you with gx, pikes, roams. You happy with your choices?

Very nice that Martin. I’m currently torn between the Flare frame and a full build Bird Aeris 120. Cant decide.

Got a pixel XL recent, it’s brilliant but not worth the money. Wish I’d have gone for the LG g6, had g4 and g5 before and they were both excellent. Otherwise there’s great deals on Samsung s7 at the moment.

Do those Slikgraphics thingamibobs work to keep them looking like new?

I bought a Civic 2.2 last week for £2800. Its done 100000 miles but is in great nick and the engine is probably only halfway through its life. I considered a c max 1.6 diesel for practicality and for the lower emissions but when I compared it to the Civic it had a smaller boot and higher emissions!

Been very happy so far, very economical and pretty fast.

Higher mpg does mean higher running costs though.

Are diesels not more reliable than petrols or is that an outdated opinion nowadays?

Taking what you say into account the petrol is tempting. The tax would be more and the emissions are more though.

Fair point but the running costs for a diesel are 42.8 urban, 55.4 average and 65.7 extra urban. The petrol is 34.4 urban, 44.1 average and 52.3 extra urban. I know this isn’t a great difference when you take into account the extra cost for diesel but I just have found diesel engines to be better for our families driving. My wife drives our car probably 3/4 of the time and she tends to rev it a bit or stay in 3rd too long and the last time we had a diesel we got a lot more miles per gallon.

Also to be honest I just prefer driving a diesel but don’t tell her that.

probably right there b r. Very tempted by one for sale locally. Its a diesel, 08 reg with 77k miles for £3400. Now to sell mine quickly!

Well 50mpg would be nice! Rear room is the big concern. The youngest is in a car seat so hoping there is till room for the other 1 or 2. Seen a nice one with 75k miles for £3500. Was originally looking at a ford c max but they are a bit dull.

Theres a few but my mrs is a bit picky (ie dont like the colour of the kitchen cupboards, dont like the colour of the sofa etc) Thought there’d be more choice though.

I’ve got a Bfe. I had a Canyon Spectral. I prefer the Bfe as I just prefer hardtails and this is easily the best I have had and I have had a few. If you could stretch to a Soul I would imagine it’ll be betterer but the Bfe is great too. Here it is..

Cotic Bfe here. Done natural lakes rides, trail centres, xc and commute most days and its the best bike I have ever had. Had a Canyon Spectral previously but full suspension just doesn’t do it for me as an all round bike.
Its light, fast and cheap. Built it up for around £1350 with 140mm revelations, Sram 1×11, xt brakes, dt swiss spline tubeless wheels (not pictured) and a reverb all new or nearly new parts. Highly recommended.

I got through to live chat to cancel the other day but ended up adjusting my package slightly (oo er!) and saving £35 a month. Only lost movies which I am not bothered about and then got a discount.

Erm, think I will stick to Sky.

    Cheers.

Just spoke to Sky and they have reduced my packageprice from £92 a month to £53 just by getting rid of movies and getting a discount as I am out of contract. I can still cancel my contract in the next 31 days though so still considering Now TV. Still can’t totally get my head around how it works though.

Out of interest, how much does it cost initially to set Kodi up? Do you have to have a firestick to make it work?

I like the look of Now tv, just been on their website. However it looks like sky sports is £7 a day rather than per month or have I read that wrong? Looks great otherwise though.

    Cotic Solaris without question

Bit of a thread resurrection here, sorry. Had my Bfe for a couple of weeks now and really impressed. Coming from a Canyon Spectral I thought I would struggle on rougher trails but it is almost the opposite. Seems like the lower weight and extra responsiveness make up for the lack of rear bouncability.

    Anyway heres mine.

Already going to put a few coins in to pay for your kind google search for me the other day Mike! I rang Ken at Cyclewise and think they can get my bike fixed ready for the weekend. If they can I will be putting some folding money in there!

We have looked at the borrowdale bash. Not sure if it would be too much for a couplke of us. We have a couple of riders who would do it easily but myself and a others havent ridden for a while. We are just after a 3 hours ish ride.

How much longer would it be to go past Castlerigg sone circle? Always wanted to ride there.

Need 10×135 dt swiss adaptors for sram xd hub. Scoured the internet but only in stock in france but acycles seem to have lost my order from 10 days ago. They are like rocking horse sh*t. I will try the shops just in case they can get them in.

Thanks for the links to the hire bikes. I have seen them and the prices seem good. Was hoping to find out what bikes they hire and what they are like. Much rather take my own bike though!
