DON’T try a WTB Velociraptor on your front Flow unless you want the cheap thrill of your front tyre popping off on your way to the trails. At least it wasnt *on* the trails i s’pose.

Re the original question…you simply need to ask yourself what it will add to the value of your house and account for additional costs to integrate said land with your existing property. We are doing the samd thing at the mo but in an urban environment. Extra garden is the end of someone elses garden. Wife is a property lawyer so can speak with some confidence.

Be wary of the Biorbs or any other Reef One variety. They’re a bit gimmicky and not really for serious aquarists. I believe they’re also unsuitable for goldfish as the filters are not brill and gf create a lot if cr@p. I have one myself with a handful of tropicals and it’s fine for that. Never come across self cleaning glass but (as above) there are several algae eating critters out there that will help you.

Have you looked at Fluval? Look nice and i believe they are pretty popular??

Sorry, can’t help. Lovefilm was frickin awful on my PS3 as well. Had to restart c.10 times to watch one film. Kept freezing. Drove me nuts. Bye bye Lovefilm.

Oh no! I never made it either. Did the same thing on the Patcham footbridge that crosses the a27. Thankfully i’m only nursing a very sore coccyx. First attempt to get out this morning involved a tyre popping off the rim. Think i’m gunna stay here where it’s safe and warm!

CGG – So sorry to hear you been so unlucky. Hope all get’s fixed proper.

Count me in too. I’ll be coming over the top as well so (with a bit if luck) should be able to meet in the top car park, assuming “upper lodges” is the one next to Ditchling Rd…?

Looks like we might get out just before the rain comes, and Met Office says 4 degrees on Monday – warming up!

I’m hoping to get up there on Mon but my sense of direction is close to non-existent and am therefore rubbish at navigating and linking up the numerous trails. Might be worth keeping an eye on brightonmtb.org. Happy to help out if you don’t mind lots of ums, ahs, doubling back, and potentially getting lost!

Not had mine long so can’t really give you a full appraisal but i can tell you they are an effin pain to get tyres seated. They do go eventually but you need lots if elbow grease and near max psi before they…POP.

Am i missing something?? Nobody has suggested talking to him. Surely it would be sensible to pick up the phone and have a chat with this guy? Especially considering your past custom. Brakes may have been an oversight and he may be perfectly prepared to put things right?? Seems a bit ‘ baby out with the bathwater’ to just send everthing back before telling him how you feel. Don’t take any nonsense from him though…

Shit*y Link attempted delivery again (unannounced) today. I wondered if they might so i left a signed note so they could leave with a neighbour. The w@nkpot carded me again and i now face a 50 mile/1.5hr round trip to get my Hoops. Fuming.

Ditto here. Ordered a pair of wheels last week. Got carded yesterday and was led to believe they would redeliver today, guess what…nothing today. I want my new wheels.

I called them earlier and they had a recorded message saying they were not answering calls due to high volumes and then automatically closed the call. Unbelievable!

+1 endorsement for Brightonmtb (though you can’t go far wrong with any of the above!) but ignore the “riff-raff” nonsense. They’re incredibly welcoming of anyone. There’s a night ride every Thu + regular daytime jaunts at the weekends. Check the site for details.

leystan – thanks, at 6 ft, I am spot on with the large according to their website, and although I haven’t ridden one yet, the size felt perfect when sitting on it.
As a matter of interest, what fork etc are you running?

I went for the SPX XC spec option (see SC website) +140mm fox float 32 rlc. Happy with it all except stem is a tad too long + the carbon bars feel a bit ‘dead’ to me – easy to rectify. Beware SC reserve the right to substitute stuff on their spec lists for similar. Not a big deal but when you’ve agonised/dribbled for ages a diversion from expevtation can be a curve ball. Worth double checking exactly what you’re collecting.

PS. I also know soneone who’s Zesty rear carbon triangle snapped (whilst it was on loan to a friend!)

I own a Blur LT2 and love it. I’m 6’2″ and have a Large. I could not imagine a medium but could be tempted by an xl.

Most important thing: enjoy the selection process!
