Expanding foam adhesive is another option for those substrates. Potential to remove whatever you’re sticking on if it doesn’t go to plan or you change your mind at any point.
Thanks All. There was the odd spalled or cracked brick but the pattern looked regular. The higher sections which haven’t been re-pointed are definitely being penetrated (SSE facing). Already offers over asking by the time I turned up. Could be great house…
Viewing a 60’s semi tomorrow. Any thoughts on the different shades of mortar and general shape of the brickwork on the gable end? I think OP’s query was resolved so hopefully not an issue asking here.
+1 for Swansea/Gower. When you don’t fancy a ride you can go for a ramble or a paddle. Multiple indoor and outdoor climbing options. Actual mountains less than a hour away.
Alpkit’s bi-monthly sale is back on. I’m looking at getting some hiking poles to help save my knees on longer days. Does anyone have a dividend that they don’t need?
Type 2 fun on our first attempt. We took ours (5 and 2) locally this summer on Gower and they did really well. They eventually went to sleep around 10pm and then the birds had them back up around 5am, the blackout tent couldn’t help there. Partner and I were shagged so we only did the one night and were home within 20 minutes of packing up. I guess just be prepared to forget the routine and have loads of activities to keep them occupied during long days. Ours are very food orientated so we took all the their favourites.
I can also vouch for the Alpkit Quark. I like the option of being able to use AAA’s as well as the replaceable rechargeable unit. They’re taking pre-orders for two new models which have good specs.
