Hey guys thanks for all the advice
and i am happy to say we made it 4 days camping waiting for the weather and we hit it, bivvying uo there before scrambling across.
Crib Goch is next on the list, we understand this is fairly simple?

The ben alder loop, is there a lot of hikeybikey involved in that?
Druidh, Cheers for that , made a good read! I understand both sides really, mind you spending £540 on bike hire at Bothy Bikes, being given a trail map is quite nice!
But i understand trail builders want the trails and respected, and you would hope all riders would do this!

    With the Lairig Ghru
is it just a case of ride all the way to braierach then turn around and come back ? :)
everybody says it is a great blast down, is that heading from braeirach back to aviemore?

Inshirach forest is meant to be a beautiful place, i would be grateful also if you have any routes on this. Best stuff you’ve ever ridden? will have to make that a definite then! is it technical riding or just a damm good descent?
Your probably right about Badaguish its a special place thankfully everybody respects it.

    Hi Kit

No worries pal thanks for that one of carn Ban Mor anyway. Is Lairig Ghru worth an out and back and is it do-able in a day. How far down it do you go right to braeirach or is that pushing it for time?
We went to nethy bridge last year and did the burma road and ryvoan/sluggan pass before shooting off to go and do the corrieyairack and that. Its such a stunning place we couldn’t resist not going again despite morzine screaming at us!
Well we are there August 19-27 so if your up feel free to tag along!

    Cheers Pal,
I considered that because i presume after pools of dee is where it starts getting hikeybikey?
Have you managed to do it from aviemore and back in a day?
Problem is i dont want to miss out on any fun :D although i hear the singletrack best into rothiemurchus is the best?

    cheers mate
we did go last year and we biked from aviemore down to laggan. We went up and over the corrieyairack to fort augustus whiihc was brilliant (despite the low cloud meaning the next day we had to bike back on the A9!)
However we were so shattered we never got round to go to laggan, and we stayed in the bunkhouse which i have to say we found quite unhygenic and the lads wouldn’t be too keen on going back :L
Thanks for your help though :)

should it be a last day job then incase one of us breaks a leg!

Here is the plan if anyone thinks there is better options please tell:
Day 1: Ryvoan pass/Loch morlich with some rothiemucrhus
Day 2: Burma Road, maybe doing the singletrack off the top if anyone can give me a grid ref where this starts?
day 3: Cruise dwn to Badaguish and do some of the “secret” singletrack, i have a map from boty bikes showing the main canadian trail etc.
Day 4: Carn Ban Mor sounds like a beauty so we’ll give her a go
Day 5: Lairig ghru/Glen as the chap earlier posted :)
day 6: Craigellachie is a possibilty or is it too hikeyikey?
Anyone is welcome to cycle with us if theyt are down.
Best pubs? We lived in Pappa Rocks last time but might look for somehwere new with some atmosphere :)

I’ll Have too make that Day 1 then!
We went once before last year but one week’s not enough to get round the start of the routes! Let alone get into the nightlife!
Looking forward to this year and thanksa lot for your route help, makes our trip a lot more enjoyable. Planning a route from the fenlands 500 miles away is quite difficult.
Have you done any singletrack around glenfeshie? Supposed to be good

    I’ve seen the Lairig Ghru
but the morale seemd that it was pretty much mostly unbikable?
I can cope with a mile or 3 Hikeybikey if the descents worth it i guess!
Would you do it again? How does it compare to Carn Ban Morr?

I’m quite fancy sgor gaooithe or the lairig ghru,
not really after too much of a hikeybikey dont know if anyone has done any for these routes?
If the descents worth it then i’ll probably give it a go

Trangia mini is a top buy,
the burner is exactly the same size and its much smaller in your rucksack
works even better in the wind so cant go wrong!
