feel for you man, reluctant to give any advice as it may be wrong.
in a similar situation as you 10 years ago.
our split was forced on us but it was probably the best thing that happened to both of us, at that time!!
i met and am in a a relationship with a wonderful girl, but my ex poisoned the kids view on me. My step daughter hasnt really talked to me since i left, and my son cant be bothered and doesnt get in touch anymore.
so for me, the cost of freedom and a new relationship with a new partner was not seeing the kids, tough choice.
if i had known what i know now before the break up, i would have done exactly the same, but found a different way to perpetuate the relationship with the children, not sure what though?
oh and it wasnt exactly financially beneficial for me :-(

good luck, maybe put it to one side, enjoy the kids and spooning with the missus until after xmas at least

I think I have a spare lever somewhere and maybe the rest of the brake if you are interested, will look later anyway

My ibis mojo always puts a smile on my face. I keep trying other bikes but the mojo just feels so quick, light (27 lb) and quick. It’s fast up hill and it’s fast going down and seems to be able to do anything I want it to. I try to ride my fireline ht 29er as much as I can, but it’s always the mojo that gives me the most satisfaction and grin factor

Mitsubishi delica, some around for under £2k

    4 x 4
    6-8 seats
    middle seats swivel
all seats lay dead flat to make a bed
rear door is up and over so you will be dry as you change at end of ride

4 x 4 go anywhere with your fat bike
come with swivel seats good for after biking relax
some come with curtains ( aids security)
up and over rear door means cover from the rain when changing
seats lay flat and turn into a bed

    all bases covered?? :-)

    im 6.0
20 inch ti 456 was right for me
although i feel the fireline is a tad too big at 20 inch

    Exhibit A
    another daft answer

i have had the mojo frame for 6 years and i paid £700 (even though i had more disposable income available and could have bought a new one) and it was like new, ive ridden it every week nearly and the frame is still worth at least £500, but i dont intend to sell it ever.

if you hope to win the case with exhibit a as an example im glad you are not my solicitor

and if you check my forum activity you will see i paid £1600 for my whole hd mojo bike which is NOT a 650b so i didnt get sucked in there.
the thing is about having too much disposable income is, you have the choice of what you do with it, like buying over priced forks say

    No Panic
absolutely no problems with seat slippage on mine

tyre clearance depends on which tyres you use
not much clearance at all on my 2.4 minions, but im happy with the clearance on the 2.35 hans dampf, and plenty of clearannce on the 2.25 smorgasbord

but earlier in the thread there was a link to a mod for the front derailleur which helped, but looked a bit naff imho

“”I ride 26”. The trails feels as good as they ever did. No plans to switch to 29″ ever. I have never been out riding and thought ‘I’d enjoy this more with bigger wheels..’

Let people with too much disposable income pay top dollar for the latest fashion…
I just enjoy riding bikes. Makes no odds on the wheel size””

Whereas I ride an ibis mojo, current mojo frame costs minimum £1800 rrp
i bought a titus fireline 29er for £700 us people with “too much ” disposable income possibly are clever with their money and DONT pay top dollar and follow the latest fashion or make stupid statements like that

    I am 61
    mountain biking for 15 years
Gap jumping after 3 hours with Jedi !! how can you not be pleased with that,
tony seems to be able to instil confidence and release your potential.
The year before I did the 725 ft bungee at verzasca (golden eye) but my day with tony was unforgettable and immense and brought me more satisfaction

    Im with Mr potatohead
if its in the chest it will get worse, specially on a cold evening
i try and put somehing clean over my mouth and breathe through it as i think the cold air can make it worse

    ahem :-)
    have seen this already
but not being as clever as “ahemers” it doesnt mean anything to me unless there is a point of reference.
i like my other bikes and their set up.
but looking at geometry doesnt give me the story, so i will be comparing it to other bikes i have and if they are similar i might keep it.
    thanks anyway Nowthen

    ok Rosss
i wont be building it up, i will be measuring it for size and angles against other bikes i have, as i have a feeling it might be bit small for me :-)

after years of playing football, biking , kung foo, skiing etc my knees are pretty flaky.
ive had 3 arthuroscopies, 2 in last 3 years on the same knee.
best thing is first to lose any extra weight you are carrying, ive lost 2 1/2 stone.
i wear hinged knee braces on both knees every ride with an elasticated bandage underneath.
for skiing i have the proper articulated knee braces.
i am very very carefull when im walking that i dont turn my knees quickly and twist them.
i find that yes they do ache after the rides but not to the point i think im damaging them.
im 61 and go biking 3 times a week and im hoping to do some enduro stuff next year.
i also do a bit of bungee jumping,Verzasca james bond jump last year
ive got an ibis mojo hd and fireline hard tail.
ive always thought cleats were best, set to keep my knee angled the way that is most comfortable, but i am 50/50 with flats.
whether you should continue if you are worried is debatabl.
MY feelings are,i would rather do as much as i can while i am fit and able and sit and watch the telly when i have to and not before i am ready.
