i have the priority pass and pay to sign a guest in, if you travel more than once a year i reckon its well worth having. however living a mile from Stansted its only an issue when i go from Gatwick or Heathrow, although some of lounges abroad have been really nice and some have been s**t

i really like the option of the servis lounges, some places the food is good and in others its rubbish. some are nice some arent.

one tip is only use the lounges after you have been through passport control as its not so relaxing thinking you have to jump up at any time and rush to passport control

Ive ridden in spds for a long time, mainly because i thought it was best for my knackered knees.
However even though i was told it was best me to use the pedals that i always use, there were some things i was not prepared to even attempt clipped in. im not a skilful rider, but small jumps, rock gardens, small drops, on the wood and even berms i was not prepared to even attempt clipped in.

However since transferring to flats i am now attempting to learn new skills and if i get better at them i may go back to spds to use my newly found skills, although i think i will end up staying on flats!

Try a fat bike, no suspension so hardly any maintenance req. can go where you want it doesn’t matter if you are faster than anyone else as you will always be going more than 10 smiles an hour. My 29er hasn’t used since I bought my fat bike :-)

i should imagine everyone who has been bitten could say the same every day up until the day they were actually bitten.
i think what we are saying that dog owners that are experienced ( and misguided) see nothing negative that cant be controlled, and non dog owners ( and the ignorant) dont think the risk is worth it.

how is this for a test, would there be any dog owner who would let there crawling baby go face forward towards a dog at the same level if they werent close enough or quick enough to stop anything happening? I doubt it very much.
now obviously this baby cant be showing hatred , but most dog owners know that some dogs dont like children and they WILL snap at them

if a dog lover and a dog owner cannot tell that they might have a dog that might bite, and cannot tell when they are going to snap, how is a non dog owner supposed to tell when a dogs growl is aggressive or not. should the onus be on the non dog owner to learn about dogs, or the owner of the dog to more careful?
ALL DOGS SHOULD BE MUZZLED WHEN THEY GO OUT end of story and everyone gets along.

i have the unenviable task of hiring and firing.
most of our men dont tell the truth about what they earn, normally adding £10-£20 a day on.
one day a guy said to me that he was unhappy that he was only earning a tenner a day more than this other guy, so i put the other guys money down a tenner and said due to the first bloke complaining, i had assessed his money and realised he was overpaid, he wasnt happy

i went out of my door to be confronted by a dogue de bordeaux growling at me, ive never seen it before so i guessed it was a stray. I went and got the peashooter and it went away. Couple of nights later just about to get into my car and it started running at me growling, so I went back inside.
Now the dilemma, do I take some sort of hammer or baseball bat when I go in the garden just in case or do i just take my chances that its going to run at me barking and growling and then lick me?
It turns out its the new neighbours dog and they hadnt realised it could get out, even though the fence has been blown down by the wind recently.
It turns out the lady owner trains dogs for the police!! anyway she started calling the dog, it didnt take a blind bit of notice, unbelievable, it just stood there barking at me.
Eventually she got it to lay flat and stop growling. Im not scared of dogs, but i dont like them or some of their owners much, but I went and stroked it anyway, it was really friendly.
Thing is it might have been different if a small child had gone outside instead of me? Is there time to be passive and hope for the best outcome or should I be ready for confrontation with the dog and then the owner?
Either way someone innocent has been put in a place of uneasiness and potential harm by the lack of concern and responsibilty of the owner.
Owners know that their dog may seem intimidating and nearly every owner of a dog that has attacked someone, says its never done it before.
WTF what a way to risk someone else and your OWN FAMILY

ive spent quite a bit there in the last few months, i think the prices are usually very good, i think the website is ok if you put some effort into it.
delivery and times is near enough perfect and the returns procedure is exceptional and the amount to select from is extensive.
i think it runs an excellent service.
and i am nothing at all to do with them!

top tip, if you mortgage goes out at the beginning of the month, ask them if you can change it to the end of the month. gives you another 3 weeks or so to find the mortgage

    But isn’t interest calculated daily

not sure, but even though that few pence might mount up, you wouldnt notice it at the end, but you would notice the 3 week saving now :-)

2nd top tip, as long as no early payment penalties.
pay your mortgage fortnightly instead of monthly, makes 13 payments a year and should save quite a bit off at the end?

I went to Jedi, and i wasnt confident of doing woodwork on the floor let alone at heights.
by the end of the one day course i was doing woodwork 4ft high, admittedly it was a soft fall either side, but it did have a small drop off at the end which i hadnt done before either.
now i am 50/50 on whether i complete the run, but im much more confident of trying and im going further and higher :-)

even if it does cost more to service 2 households, why is the default the higher amount?
Maybe the fairest way would be for ALL properties to be 25% discounted and topped up for additional people living there?
When they decide the tax bands i`m sure the LA are aware of the ratio of single occupant properties to fully occupied properties, otherwise they would just hike the tax rate bands more to allow for the 25% discount

@ ac282 i agree, but Jedi was looking for something bling, and as much as i like xt cranks i dont think they are bling, but they are great crankset, i got some from Merlin for £79 and that included a bb and i swapped them for the Noirs because i prefer them ;-)
