Mines a resmed Airsense 10. NHS issue. The previous one was not autosetting, the new one is.

Both airsense 10’s. If you can spring for £600 I’d do it.

I created a hat-like barrier for my Varia. Out of tin foil.

I wrapped my nuts in tin foil but my wife just said i looked like a budget quality street.

No point in buying my own either, as I’ll still have to wait to see the hospital to get it set up. 😕

Maybe, maybe not. My new unit (air sense 10) is self calibrating and sorts pressures itself

It’s a few weeks to get used to it. Don’t watch alien the first night. Game changer for me. Was 72 events per hour.

    Can’t sleep without it now.

I’m not sure how much the Topstone really moves on the backend. But it’s pretty direct pedalling and decidedly comfy in the rough stuff (think cobbles, not babies heads)

Getting quite used to my lunchtime 10k cycle. Don’t manage everyday but it feels like some effect.

Joined a call today and people commented I’d slimmed down a bit.

Overall it’s good. Don’t half get through some kit tho!

I have Vittoria Terreno Dry 700×40

Me too. I’m quite surprised at how capable they are. Little bit disconcerting when you learn them over to the knobbles but they stick.

    Running about 35-40psi tubeless.

I did think they’d be straight in the skip and a set of nobbers on.

I’d sell it as a whole to be enjoyed by someone else. Not the ignominious end of being parted out.

Failing that, hang it in the garage and just enjoy it that way.

Sling a fresh chain in, if it runs without slipping happy days.

If not back on with the old and run it til it’s dead

Mines the quicksand / black cherry edition. I quite like it’s look but they are a bit marmitey

I’m on a carbon Topstone. Love it. Capable and compliant off the tarmac and pretty rapid on it. Mines the SRAM 1*11 no real issues on gearing. You don’t need the lows like you do on the MTB

I’ve not managed everyday, but probably 30 of them. Starting to feel a bit fitter and changing a bit of shape.
Definitely starting to become habit forming.

Fella, no rush. Get out ride, camp, play. You’ll need headspace for the next move so give yourself time to find it.

Don’t bother with LinkedIn, agents etc until you are ready to engage.

Given the recent efforts doesn’t seem unreasonable. I wouldn’t lend money to a bunch of maniacs either.

    Oh.

No. You probably just need to centre the calliper again.
Slacken the bolts. Pull the brake hard. Hold it and nip the bolts.

Go for a ride and celebrate your success

Isn’t the joy of gravel the choice of an objectively slightly worse bike for the same terrain.
I’ve just got one. Really enjoying exploring everything local again. Roots, rocks, mud, tarmac just rumbling on.

It’s not meant to be better. Just different.

Sometimes I don’t have beans for tea.

There is a system called the Bradford Score that lets you identify frequent short term absenteeism.

    This man has it

I’ve had moments like this with a couple of DAW’s.

I suspect you need to workout where the output is going to. Sounds like you have an ASIO4all driver installed. Is the Audio mapped to that? Does it have a test mode to see if it makes any output sound?

Doing fairly well here. Some mad busy weekends so trying to make sure I spend time on my feet.
Trying for 10km a day on the gravel bike. Getting a bit sloppy in places – wondering how well I’ll go on the mtb when I have to go back to that.
Hopefully pushing bigger gears for a few weeks will have helped

Starting to feel like habit now. Either a morning or lunchtime ride. Just a quick blast out. Getting a bit fitter I think. No lighter yet but feeling decent.
Making a few better life choices… do I really want that beer if I’m riding at 7am?

With mine I’ve signed the longer term lease (0 cost) that effectively devalues the bike to nothing.

The strongest relationships come when there have been headwinds. Don’t sweat it, do the right thing and it’ll be fine.

I’ve just got a gravel bike. Carbon Topstone as it happens. Wasn’t sure quite what it would be like. It’s fun for light offroad single tracks, roots and light rocky stuff (I’m lakes based so not generally clagtastic)
It makes me smile and it’s remarkably quick and easy climbing. Guess it’s about 22lb or so. 1*11 SRAM apex. Doesn’t need anything lower or higher.
    It makes me grin.

We had (have still in fact) a Dawes academy. Triple butted frame, nice and light. Fancy secondhand?

I’d probably just drift it round with a little punch and a hammer. Won’t take much to get it on the move

If you don’t already have them, relatively inexpensive places to start are the Alpkit Hunka for the bivvy and D and D Hammocks for the tarp

    Awesome thx

The guy who tunes our piano now uses an app after years of swearing by a tuning fork, but it isn’t a cheap app and he still uses his ear and then records the notes for each piano for the next time he visits

It’s quite impressive that isn’t it – a measure of all the harmonic content

I suspect dialling in a couple of notes will be easy ish. Getting it to play it’s best and give the best sound much harder. Far more in akin to setting up a very complex guitar

I can’t believe you left a 9 year old to use a washing machine, ok they used the tumble dryer instead but I’m amazed you trusted them.

    How wrong could it go?

So something like into the Lyth valley, up cartmel steps and onto Stephenson ground would work pretty well I suspect

Grab a train and head into the cartmel valley. Plenty to play at, or up Chapel how and Stephenson ground

Ok. It’s gone phantom. The clothes were indeed in the tumbledryer. However the shitty pants had been dropped and where actually (and this maybe the only time I ever express this) under the dining room table.
I have now repositioned all known turds and washing is in progress.

I think on balance we may wash things without input for a couple more years.
