Perhaps the bit missing here is that the proposal is actually what you are buying. That and the documentation of it. But basically the idea is the product

Part of the fun of it! All I do if I’m solo in areas without people is leave a trace on my phone so if I do bin it then someone can find me

So you’ve been quoted the standard riba 4 stages? From memory. Document as is, development of plans, planning submission and then building regs drawings.
Just sign up for what you want to start with?

Adding to my above, most architects have a ‘style’ you are looking for one that matches your aspirations / desires so you get the right feel. From my viewpoint it’s worth spending on design as it’s a fractional cost of the overall. But it is very noticeable if it’s lacking…

The way we did it (albeit on a slightly larger scale) was we wrote a brief on what we wanted to achieve e.g light, flow to the garden, family space etc. The architects then surveyed the house as is to determine real sizes and then prepped a set of initial ideas. We then worked these though for 4-5 iterations and then got on with planning

Probably more scope for additional damping from the extra torque than any really need to increase the spring rate

Did I mention the cooper s pops and bangs on the upshifts if you are pressing on. Good fun little motor and quite involving to drive

Forgot to add, the flat load floor deffo helps with avoiding faffage as it just slides in and out..

I’m rather enjoying my new niner jet carbon. 100mm travel each end climbs like a monster :-)

My niner goes in no bother. Both wheels off. In fact we’ve had my old spark and a mates singular in at the same time. Plenty of room but not long

Tape it wear it will obviously rub, and enjoy the patina of age and use elsewhere :-)

Similar happened to me. Turned out I was living next door to a giant metallic octopus. You should check.

One assumes that a decent pie could be fashioned from a cottage pie in the style of the butter pie. One simply needs to encase said Cottage Pie into a Pie thus making it a pie?

I’m a bit of a unit. Round that 100kg mark. Been riding a Scott spark in the lakes for a few years. More will depend on riding style than out and out kilos

You should cup him when he comes out. He’ll not return

I’d be cautious with something you are only using occasionally. Most vehicles benefit from being used. I reckon it’ll be a pain in the harris as an occasional run around.

is she a 26er? or a fattie? I’ve often wondered about a fattie.

Anyone have a training plan for this sort of event? I’m guessing being comfortable with 40miles plus in the lakes is the name of the game?

Cutting the ear is no problem, keeping the nickname ‘Little Vincent’ after the incident may be an issue.

Well as part of the bijoupotatoes musical education this morning we had the white room at breakfast. Postie walked in during transcentral to see fat middle aged man in dressing gown busting moves to the bemused toddler. I think we may have scared him…

Thats dead, the only thing I might consider short term is filling it with foam to give it some support. Might even blow the dent back out. Did I mention its dead?

I’ve just come from a Spark which is a great all day bike to a Niner Jet. I’d say the niner feels a little more composed and just as rapid place to place. The looks are growing on me. Picked it up for 1800 with a new frame and some very lightly used components. Looks much better dirrty!

After sleeping on it. I think the way forward is a new set of axles then drill out the remnant’s from the crank

Hmm. I just swapped the crank arm to avoid this issue. XTR pedal in an XT arm so no flats. Happily it’s non drive side and the new bike has the same chainset..

First the fingers, cheap and plentiful. Keeping adding sherry until the fingers are done and happy. Smear the fingers in jelly. Unload the custard over the fingers. After a suitable recovery period smear with creme and dive in.

6 tubs of hand creme. 1 for Xmas and 5 for special time alone moments?
