    http://www.screwfix.com/p/lap-gu10-led-reflector-lamp-with-reflector-330lm-5w/91534

Just fitted these and their GLS equivalent around my house, bit early to say what they’re like reliability wise (although they have a two year warranty) but the gu10s are a perfect match for a ‘good’ 50w gu10 colour temp and beam spread seems identical – ok so I haven’t had the photometer out, but I changed half the room at a time an couldn’t spot a difference…

Just waiting for a decent SES golfball retrofit now then I’ll be totally incandescent and cfl free – except for the remote control bedroom dimmer circuit which hasn’t yet caught up!

Religion = be nice or we wont let you play on a cloud – unless you say sorry, in which case do whatever you like and then we’ll let you off anyway… Once we’ve rid you of the nastiness you were born with naturally!

I don’t need too be threatened by a deity to act in a reasonable way.

“Either God can do nothing to stop catastrophes like this, or he doesn’t care to, or he doesn’t exist.
God is either impotent, evil, or imaginary. Take your pick, and choose wisely.”

I assume you know not to touch the capsule with bare skin???…

Other than that, it just takes a bit of a jiggle to get the lampholder to open up – think yourself lucky, normally they go loose!

    H7 user here.
Prefer the h7 to my h14 which has been resigned to dog walking duties.

The h7 sits snug and doesn’t bounce, beam stays at focus that you set and can be dimmed variably rather than hi/lo.
Little red light on the back for driverists too

A fore/aft wobble will be either the top cap, the seal head or both…
My reverb (now retired as I’ve gone with ks lev for the new bike) had lots of play which was mostly cured by replacing the seal head bush which comes as part of the £7 seal kit… Never got round to replacing the top cap at £40. As far as I can work out, play in the bushes will not affect the sealing of either the air spring or the hydraulic systems. Dirt however will get under the seals and cause issues.

Edric, don’t worry – it doesn’t involve the interior light of my car!

Badlllama, I’m fully aware of the operations of a shoot… I own more gore tex gear with Jahti Jakt or duck-dri labels than I do with endura on them…
The keeper didn’t ask me to stop riding and allowed me to continue along the path whilst riding.
His cover crops are 400yrds away from the path seperated by two boundary hedges, his release pens are miles from this area.
As mentioned, his pickup being raced across the field was far more disruptive to his stock than me!
I’d gladly do a bit of dogging back for him should he be interested in controlling his birds…

Even though my impacts are true to size as you stated…

The spitfires on the other hand are small – not by much but definitely would have gone for the next size up if I’d have been trying them on in a shop (and if they were available in a larger size)

I do hill reps on a strava segment close to home, I actually have 3 to choose from, 2 of which I set up myself.

Living in a particularly flat corner of Derbyshire, the ‘hills’ are old pit tips which are however great exercise once you’ve gone up and down a few times in quick succession and I use strava as a bit of encouragement.

What’s worse, is someone set up a segment going back down the hill (double track footpathish with nothing really exciting) and I got third fastest without even realising it existed and just rolling down having a bit of a breather ready for the next up!

I’ve had a quick spin on them and didn’t notice anything particularly bad about them, although I did take a long time to build up speed as I did expect them to be crap!

Any suggestions for a fastish rolling all round tyre in 29 and tubeless ready then?…

Take the wheel to your local tyre place with a ‘packetofbiscuitsinlieuofpayment’TM and they’ll have the tool and a million and one perfectly servicable valve cores in their bin!

Check how she uses the downshift button…
I had a similar issue once due to me setting up FD using my action which slowly releases the button vs a quick stab and let the springs take care of it. If the chain can make it off the inner ring I’d say you could take up the low adjustment screw at least a bit.

It is possible, but not easy…
Once set up with several program’s which your average joe pc user wouldn’t ordinarily have, it’s fairly painless – but getting to that point took some head scratching!

We actually use the dh park as part of the red route! ;)

It sounds as though there are enough of us interested in improving things, maybe we need to arrange some clandestine digging sessions in the early hours!
I spied some lovely logs for some skinnys on my way round the other day… 8)

Oops! Touched a nerve there then!

Apologies AdamW, I did qualify my statement that it was only based on a quick scan of your site…

In fairness the large group size would actually put me off slightly although NE.Derbys/N.Notts (welbeck, clumber, pines is all within riding distance) is my stomping ground so I’d be interested to see if you knew any other bits around me.

Their ‘active forum’ has about half a dozen posts so far this month and they seem to ride the same three trails on according to their ride calendar!

The club itself might be brilliant for all I know, but they certainly don’t advertise well… :D

    Ditto to the sentiments shared…

Yes there are better places nearby, but it is very close to me and perfect if I have a spare hour.

I actually got in touch with the contact listed on the FC website to try and offer shovelling, barrowing, and vision to add to the bobcat and type 1 that seems to make up most of the trails – but found no answer as the contact had moved on and couldn’t tell me who had taken over…

The majority of the issues on the pines trails are due to water and poor trail planning (jump into flat corner around marker 7 springs to mind). A little better planning of routes and drainage options would keep the trail in much better nick year round.

I appreciate that they are trying to keep a family air about the place, but some more technical features would be great, maybe as optional diversions with qualifier entrances to weed out the Carreras!

Another point which would help, would be to regrade the blue to a green, maybe with one or two areas made slightly safer and shortened. Then regrade the majority of the red to make it blue (which, lets face it – is more accurate) then add more hand built technical sections as red/black add-ons.

Oh and one last point would be to segregate the family trails and red routes better and signpost the red route as such for walkers and families – too often have I taken to the bushes in order to save a child’s face!

That was going to be my first point, but to me it looks like you are running plain flats which should pretty much rule out all pedal/seat height (too high at least) causes…
Are you a spinner or a gurner?
Maybe try pushing lower gears at higher cadence and see if that helps…

Hope now make press fit bottom brackets too…

That is all you need to know!

In fairness, there’s not much more involved in swapping a pressfit than there is a threaded.

We had exactly this recently… Production worker using automatic retracting blade Stanley managed to slip as he cut some packaging.
Cue managers call for total ban on open blades (including maintenance staff), maintenance team already have a good choice of ‘safety’ tools, but unfortunately the majority are simply shite – I don’t actually know of a single one that makes the job easier/better, and I have known people injured more by some such as the poly pipe cutters…

Completely ignored was the fact that the blade in the operators knife was as sharp as the managers who decided blades should be banned and that the packaging only needed cutting because it was incompatible with our machine (ain’t central procurement great!) or that the blunt knife was used in a very amateur fashion.

Two weeks later, the receptionist cuts herself – how? – cutting a doughnut with a 10″ carving knife she has in her drawer, just in case!

Much the same as the usual hearing protection issue – here’s some ear plugs… Never will the first suggestion be anything but.

My favourite comment H&S wise is that PPE is designed for contractors – they are unable to change their working environment so must use PPE to lower the consequences of the hazards present. Permanent employees should not need PPE on a regular basis because the hazard should be able to be controlled at source.

    +1 more…
I’ve been riding for years in either cheap safety specs on road or my normal glasses off road where more clarity is required. For the past 4 months I’ve been using contacts (monthly extended wear) and jokley’s for both and the difference has been astounding.

    Exactly why I ask!

May just buy a set and see, running skf bearings so as long as they will sleeve the inner race down to 24mm without needing a step cutting into the inner race like shimano bearings have, the sealing properties shouldn’t really matter too much…

I’ve used similar to fill a tyre groove in a five swing arm.
It is far harder than the surrounding aluminium once it has cooled so you need to be quite neat whilst applying.
I did also have a play at jointing some scrap – I couldn’t separate the two bits once joined…
But probably not as good as an AC tig set!

Yes, in fact I’ve been wincing every morning for the past month with it!

I’ve bought a set of road pedals and shoes to see if that helps as it seemed to occur after I’d been hammering the CX bike on the road in my old slightly flexy northwaves.

Have a look at which apps are using location services… There are one or two ‘rogue’ apps which keep checking where you are even when you are not using the app… I had one and found the battery drained within 14-15 hrs with minimal use, instead of the two days (36hrs) that I’d normally get with the same usage.

Harnesses are used so dogs can pull things – ala Alaskan malamute styleé…

What you want is one of these…

Fits to the dogs neck as it grows and with correct use and training will have most dogs to heel in hours. Once you’ve trained the dog/handler, the lead will be hanging loose until a correction is required.
