Keirin was admitted into the Olympics in December 1996.[1] A BBC News investigation, reported in July 2008, found evidence that following the sport’s admission into the Olympics, the Union Cycliste Internationale required (in writing) that the Japan Keirin Association support UCI projects in “material terms”; over a period of time the association subsequently gave three million dollars to UCI in consideration of “the excellent relationship the UCI has with representatives of the Olympic movement.” Four members of the governing body were subsequently arrested in Tokyo.[1]

Am using a 80mm stem rather than the 70mm one I had before.

I haven’t faced the bottom bracket and it seems fine. But then I’ve never had any of my frames faced.

Swingbing – I like the reverse snobbery of having a Saracen. I suspect my next full sus bike will be a Boardman. My last bikes were a Yeti 5 and a Cotic Soul, which both were recently stolen. I hoping that my having less of a ‘name’ bike the scrots will leave this one alone.

It rides just as nice as my old Soul Mark 2.

It comes with a FSA headset and a seat QR.

Excellent choice. Just really want it to stop raining so I can try mine out on some of the local technical descents.

Servicing XT hubs is not an issue.

Spent many an afternoon back in the day losing ball bearings behind the fridge. Are 15mm front XT hubs cup and cone too?

I believe that when the Yeti 5 came out it had a 5 year warranty but now it’s only 2 years.

It happened 2 1/2 months ago and still hurts.

The bits that really annoy are the Hope Mono Mini, which was a birthday present from my wife 8 years ago. It was my first ever disc brake. And the saddle on the Yeti which I won in a Yeti tribe meet raffle (and have never won anything in my life).

I’m in the process of replacing my stolen Soul (insert joke here) with the Kili. If the chainring arrives today I’ll be building it up tonight.

Is feels of very similar weight to the Soul and is very well finished.

If they did a black non-logoed 456c I would got one of those, but the bright yellow was too much for me.
