For where you ride the less bearings the better. Those Lapierre's look ace. but there seems to be a lot of moving parts.

Ahhhhh R8, nearly. I don't use the Bridgeport much these days.

That's one big boring head for a little lathe.

Any toolmaker could bore to a thou with one of those. Just not in a lathe.

Ian that's a boring head for a r7 type head in a Bridgeport milling machine, good luck using it on your lathe

I sent you mail, but it has just bounced back at me.

Anyway, I'm off to a mates later to try my bulb in his light to make sure it isn't the ballast that has gone. If it is the bulb thats gone I'm gonna bite ya hand off for the bulb. Thats if you still have it
    Thanks a lot

I have had enough of the fan in my laptop in take off mode. So have just turned flash off, instant quiet. Cant be good for the advertisers though.

Hora Thanks for the riding tips.
Like I said it was a rouge batch of pads back then. It wasn't just me but a group of us who rode together who suffered the pad trouble.

Superstar sintered brake pads are ace, mine are lasting an age.
I saw Fruit at SITS, seemed a young lad and I'm sure he will mature with age. Who wasn't a bit feisty when they were younger.
Hats off to him for doing something that even now I would probably shy away from.
I can remember about 4 yrs ago going through a set of Goodridge pads per ride, seemed to be a dodgy batch. never saw anyone slagging them off.
As for the holy than thou posters, give it a rest. It may surprise you but most people who ride a bike don't even know Singletrack exists. So I'm sure his business won't suffer.

    At 5ft 8 a 29er 39er or 304829er will never be 'weapon of choice'

People will all ride a different bike to whatever taste they like. Long may that be.

To be honest you could use pretty much any size bike for riding around a muddy field. In fact you don't even 2 wheels as the unicyclist at SITS proved.

If i was to buy a Canadian frame from Canada I assume it wouldn’t need to conform to this standard? Will people like Rocky Mountain alter their frame to suit our standars or just stop selling them in europe?

hello mrs legspin here, I would say you are not over loading the body any more and are on a bit of a plateau, even though you are putting a lot of work in. You seem to be training your slow twitch fibres, so your aerobic capacity will be fine, try doing more interval training working at 80% 90% MRH.

I have been using 2.5d stuff for years, It’s just getting my head around a ‘new’ way of drawing using parametircs. It just a matter of practice. I have bought a book and just going through it. Onto advanced modelling techniques now, wish me luck.

All of those ooOOoo, we make a wide range of stuff. Anything I design I then drag into AlphaCam to get my toolpaths to make the stuff on our CNC kit.

But we do have a ZCorp Z510 printer, so any models I create I can print them in full 3D colour 😆

*slight hijack* I’m teaching myself to use Inventor as the university I work for won’t shell out the money needed for proper training. Does anyone have some good tips apart from getting solid works or pro E?
