Hereafter, I don’t know if it was a ‘blockbuster’ or not but I had never heard of it before I watched it on Sky movies the other week. I suppose the fact that it had Matt Damon in and was directed by Clint Eastwood gives it a Blockbuster heritage.

Bloody ell you lot must spend more time washing than riding, a toothbrush?
I get back from a ride hang bike up, next time I need it I just wipe off the big lumps of mud with a rag. The only time they get a wash is if some maintenance needs doing.

A couple of us rode it on Saturday. The very top section by the cairn was just rideable, but very wet. The river bed section had a fair bit of water running down it.

Mind that little drop in to the puddle though, its a wheel swallower, nice bruise on my knee :/

    – Pedals undo away from the bike, i.e. from bars to saddle
    – BBs undo toward the bars, i.e. from saddle to bars

I’ve just printed that to stick on my shed wall – cheers

I have one of these, the main unit sits in the house running on mains with a battery backup. It uses a door sensor and a PIR for detection. You can also get a extra loud alarm to put in the shed.

edited to make a little more sense.

But isn’t the point of singlespeed not having to wash it?

I have a edge800,I use it for tracking my rides so basically a very expensive bike computer. But when I use it for navigating places I don’t know using the bundled os maps it is so easy to follow. It makes navigation quick (no stopping to look at maps) and accurate as you have points of reference on the map instead of just a bread crumb trail like on the old units.
Using memory map to plan my routes then uploading to the 800 I have found loads more routes from my doorstep and increased the distance I ride.
Yes the 800 is expensive but if your going to use it for exploring its bloody ace 😀

I put what I thought is the correct amount in ( I think it was 160ml), but I have been know to be wrong.
I thought about sending them off but last time they were serviced, a couple of years ago tf said it wouldn’t be worth doing again. But when inspecting the stanchions they look in good condition.

You will always have suspension problems living down that road with all those bloody speed bumps.
I’d say keep it and get a new bike, but you know how I look after my cars.

On the Engineer debate…. At work I design something in Inventor, export the solid models to cad/cam software, then create the toolpaths and then the code which is then sent to the cnc machines. I then go and set the machines machine the componet then fit all the parts together.
As I only have a city and guilds qualification does this make me not a engineer?

I have 2 DX torches, and was going to mount one to my helmet but it just felt wrong. To heavy and made the helmet wobble unless I really tightened it. It may be because I have a Giro E2 lid and it doesn’t have a vertical vent so the light is off centre.
So anyway have got a joystick mk5 and it brilliant, You pays your money and takes your choice.
I now use 2 torches mounted on the bars with the joystick on my lid 😀

and the weight difference feels more than 50g to my uncalibrated fingers but maybe that’s just me
