40bar in the tubs? hahahaha, what a load of crap

it should read 14 I think and silk is chosen for it’s low rolling resistance not any other reason.

Perhaps the US basketball team should be DQed for not playing 100% in games against weaker teams too or saving their stars for the later games.

I’d have done the same. The Olympics ( or any high level sport) is about maximising chances of a medal. Aus and Ger didn’t exactly pull from the gun in the men’s RR but nobody suggested DQing them, it’s just tactics.

For the last 10 years my girlfriend has run Kiota[/url] in her spare time. It fits the OP as it raises money for centres for abused young women and children with a strong focus on healthcare (eg HIV awareness and testing).

All the money goes straight to the centres in Tanzania.

Obviously I’m going to be proud of my girlfriend but the projects are truly amazing. I visited them for the first time a few months ago and was blown away by the work they do. Some of the stories are harrowing but when you see the positive outcomes I can see why people dedicate their lives to this kind of work.

EDIT just read your second post about about UK work, completely understand. Chapeau either way.

go on, ‘ave him on the inside line

I got that in the main race 😀 If I had a front brake I might have tried it too… The dude shouting “over rock, over the rock!” made me smile as well.

Riding up the hill was the best for support. I had people running up next to me, loads of cheers, a bloke with a chainsaw and I still got distracted by a rather well endowed lady!

It will stay being filmed in LMNH so that anyone can roll on down there on a Sunday evening and see people such as Eddy Merckx being interviewed. I hope they do sort out the sound though and give a better intro on the guests.

The Megavalanche footage was filmed over the last week and should be really good, the crew were buzzing.

Did Cav deliberately where shorter shirts to show off his tan lines in Paris?!

It looks like a skinsuit to me and so the fit will be slightly different to his normal jersey+shorts combo.

It was great to see Bradley gunning it on the lead out though I wasn’t sure Cav would make it after E B-H dropped him off a bit early,

I’m not sure when the Mega episode will be shown but I’ll put up a PSA when I find out. I better feature somewhere otherwise she’s off the christmas card list!

Anna is my sister so if anyone slags her off I’ll be doing my best keyboard warrior impression!

I think her first piece is with Peaty so should interest STWers and she was filming the Megavalanche too which should be great, the film crew were blown away by it all!

just because some bloke (who I happened to race with back in the day) shares the same passport nationality as me and is now wearing yellow doesn’t make it an interesting race!

Patriotism is a crap reason for finding a sports event interesting and Brad was born in Belgium and has an Australian father anyway.

EDIT: interweb sarcasm is hard to read sometimes

Bloody nora, Sky are boring, effective but boring. If this turns out to be an Armstrong style domination I’ll lose interest pretty quick. Hopefully Nibbles and Cuddles will keep having a go

They’re only half way through so I doubt Sky will be digging too hard, no need to drop everyone when they have 2 mins in hand. After all, the Pyrenees can be pretty damn tough…

Often higher BB than an SS road bike. Always steeper angles, shorter stays and cranks.

The indoor velodromes have very strict geometric rules, the shallower outdoor ones less so.

RM, why am I not surprised that you cheat….

OP generally good advice above and I will add that finding the wheel of a rider you feel confident in following and staying there really helps.

    Good luck and enjoy it!

XC is pretty short but there are plenty of trails that are doable on an XC bike and then take a fireroad climb up. Good for a couple of hours

No reason at all you can’t use a 24h as a front.

Just be aware that a 24 hole rim might be drilled with slanting spoke holes for the off side and vertical for drive.

    that does look good!

is it built from stuff already on site or has material had to be brought in?

Formula are doing a Di2 compatible hydro lever that apparently Sven Nys will be racing next year and SRAM are bringing out a hydro system too.

And how much performance enhancement can I expect when I’m 65g lighter?

…you get the idea, right? It’s an inconsequential weight saving, whether it costs a pound or 50p.

but add up all the 65g or so njee has mentioned above and it does become of consequence.

you can get the X10 SL for around £40 on ebay. This is assuming it’s 10 speed, otherwise X11 if its for campg 11 😀
