1/8th chains on 3/32 cogs are fine, trackies do it all the time and put out a lot of torque. I thinks the problem is using poor quality chains Mister T, not the size. Plenty of good quality fat chains about.

new chain on worn cog = jump

It will be those three numbers. Unlikey that an individual frame builder is going to bother stamping in more numbers than needed.

west kipper, surely bending stresses are greatest at the support of a cantilever, ie where the fork meets the frame at the base of the steerer.

the cold makes a huge difference to getting tyres (and tubs) on. leave them by a radiator and they'll probably go on fine!

What's the point in any cycling except as an afficient means of getting from A to B?

Even though I know I prefer the fast/scary riding to shore/scary atm it's probably because I'm better at the fast stuff. I hope to pay a visit to Jedi this year to broaden my riding horizons 😀

I've seen a stage start, bunch(flat) finish, middle of a general road stage and a few prologues. The prologues were the best because you get to see all the riders and the atmosphere is great. A mountain stage must be even better but I would have thought traffic would be a bit poo-stain.

Sounds like a good option I think. My budget is just over £200 for travel and accom P/P which I could beat with 4 in a car but not just the two of us.
