    depends what you're riding 😉

Why do you want slack headangles on a dirt jump bike?
They shouldn't be confused with the hardcore hardtail trail bikes that are so popular at the moment.
Steep headangles make for quick reacting bikes which is what you want on a DJ bike.

That Spooky is lovely! I dreamed of owning one of those when I first got into MTBing proper.
Rusty had a DS1 with orange bombers at SSUK last year. Looked lovely.

Course it helps, it's all pedalling!
My riding is almost all done on the MTB but I race on the road and track. I should be a 1st cat by the end of the year so the MTBing can't be that detrimental…

Of course it's a joke persona. Jeez, some people on here are so out of touch they can't tell the difference between real youth speak and a faker! 🙄

It's probably David "Dave" Cameron trying to be down wiv da kidz.

    Still pretty funny though

Armagnac if you're a fan of the peatier whiskies, it's more flavoursome than Cognac in general. Yum!

Some aluminium products come with weight limits too.
If the bike you are interested in has a weight limit, you can find out. Usually only applies to proper weight weenie bits though, not 1K complete bikes.

why are you trying to avoid carbon? It's strong enough for F1 cars and jet planes….

also I doubt you're gonna put more forces through carbon than Chris Hoy

Speak to dave crowe at colourtech 01322 555549

He's sprayed a few carbon forks for me and also clear lacquered a steel frame so he should be able to lacquer carbon.

my alloy XT inner has countersunk holes, not sure what effect they would have if the bolts are long enough

1111 off here built this contraption:

it was pretty interesting to ride!

and I'm sure it could be extended with another bike…

Tubs will have better rolling resistance for the same pressures due to their tubular shape: less hysteresis losses.

Also, I doubt there is an MTB tyre that has a sidewall to match the supppleness of a dugast!

Not that I even race XC! 😀

I'll try that CFH. I did sent a nice email, but perhaps they need to hear my dulcet tones.

Thanks guys. I've been keeping an eye out on the bay but nothing as yet. Factory replacement mavic or shimano seems like a good idea, failing that the ritchey looks OK.

    Still annoyed at Hope though!

Giant Reign or even Reign X.

Reign is reasonably light, with an efficient sus system and can be built enduro/AM or miniDH/FR.

    I love mine 😀

XTR isn't performance at all costs, the accountants have a lot of say in any major manufacturer's projects, XTR included. That's why many pros upgrade their XTR with ceramic bearings, ti bolts and rotors etc etc.

    I'm not commenting on SS's axles though…..

you will need to change cranks. Compact PCD is 110mm whereas you will have 133 or 135 PCD cranks for a regular set up.

MrSmith, replace the shock in your trance for a wooden block and get ratboy to spray the frame rust coloured. Should look suitably niche

FM Boyauxmakes MTB tubs. His cross tubs are ace but you'd need new rims unless you want a crazy franken 29er tub?!

I'm not saying that the soldier is evil btw, but that pic screams invasion justification.

EDIT: I meant there were walkers/climbers with crampons and axes!

Wont this be the same as Swinley.

ie most of the time you never bother paying and occasionally you pay for a permit because you feel a bit guilty and want give some money towards trail maintenance.

No, because they won't be doing any trail maintenance!

I don't know what the alfine cable pull ratio or whatever it's called is, but a shiftmate could enable a campag 11 ergo to be used.

probably one of britain's best frame builders. only does a little bits here and there but can be pretty cheap and does a great job

Pure marketing. I'm sure many manufacturers could do something similar but the UCI impose a stupid minimum weight limit so most top end frames are now designed to be stiff and aero whilst staying around 900g

I think it is a shame the QP is so underpowered compared to the german rivals, so I'll have an RS6 avant please. Bonkers fast, comfortable and they pass under the car haters radars. The new one is not particularly pretty but loads better than a Panamera.

isn't just two plates on each side of the ring? cyclocrossers have been doing that for decades! the chain can still bounce off over the top though.
also the widgit seems to run off the inner ring position, so I would have thought the chainline would be crap in most gears.

only if you ride pikey bikes 🙄
