I like the idea of tyres in the colour scheme of flags, from a distance mine resemble one of the Olympic rings, the black one.

There're no other factors Bent_udder, I emailed them earlier this morning asking what the situation was, no reply. So I got all the information together of what happened and emailed direct to the website owner, outlining my position and theirs (Don't do refunds because they don't sell used equipment!) I included the relevant paragraph and web link to the Consumer Direct website. Again asking for a refund. 10 minutes later I got a reply stating they were going to get it back to me after they have assessed the problem!!

    They're taking the mick.

+ 1 for a Merino baselayer, you can pick an Endura Baa Baa up for around £30.

I took a look at the Consumer Direct website, thank you. If I'm honest returning the watch after 2.5 months of use after a fault with one of the main features is a reasonable amount of time. It comes with a 2 year warrany for goodness sake.

A mate of mine got pulled on the M54 a couple of years ago, after being let off with a verbal he was then offered a race to the next junction – apparently.

I've been let off for jumping a red light on the Wolverhampton ring road, I was quite a way down the Satfford road when he caught up, I got in the back off the car and after they found I was mucking my kecks, had a decent responsible job, etc, etc I was allowed to go on my way.

I got a Race Face middle for £22 earlier in the year, light than the original XT version and has lasted much longer.

Pinochet's bodyguards used to do a lot of shopping round Kidderminster back in the day. Not so much a shooting trip but they were carrying.

If you run out of paint, it's more than acceptable to use the butt of your marker to subdue your enemy.

    I have a pair of these…

They're pretty good, and they're much easier to wear than the similar Endura offerings – liners doesn't pull out etc. Only problem is when it's really cold, and your finger tips are painfully cold you can't blow through the gloves to warm them up.

Been out today and bought some Tech Wash and TX proofer, gear (Gore windstopper shell and Endura eVENT shorts) is still hanging over the bath drip drying. I'll let you know how it pans out.

Go naked, no one will want to go near you if they think you're that hard core.

Try and get on the team with little kids on it, I did once on a stag do a few years ago and they were like fricking Ewoks. They won every game for us.

You should get a hood for over your mask, if not use a beenie, I wore a couple of pairs of shorts, it's painful if you get in the soft tissue of your arse, MTB gloves and a box are useful. Use a Buff for round your neck, if you get shot there they look incredibly like love bites.

Two adopted Lurchers, around £100 each
    Food around £40 per month
    Walkies every day
Don't pay for insurance, our previous dog had it and every vets bill was always just under the excess figure…
Treats and toys maybe £10 per month, ham ends from the supermarket and new rubber balls cos he keeps dropping them in the water when he barks at his reflection.
Love and affection from two dogs who were so timid when we had them two years ago, they still cower when you raise your voice – priceless.

I have the Leica DLUX4 which is basically the same camera but badged Leica, it's an awesome piece of kit, I think the only difference is you get better jpeg processing which the Leica and much better RAW processing software. As has been said before you can get great low light results. Zoom isn't great but you get great landscape capabilities.

If anyone's interested I have a TESA Vernier caliper (one of the ones that came in a wooden box) going spare. I can even supply it with a UKAS certificate if required – email in profile.

Thisisnotaspoon, why don't digital and Vernier calipers go out of calibration?

On the same topic, I caught a 10 minute snip of The Revenge of the Sith yeaterday and was a bit taken aback by R2D2's range of skillz. In the old films {set after those three new shit ones} he could barely roll about on flat surfaces. Yet in the clip I saw he was flying, shooting droids, catching stuff and generally being quite cool. Not just rolling about bleeping in a comedic and quite cute fashion.

Is cos he's old and a bit knackered in the good films?

Nope, it's electronics were shot in the last of the new films so he was replaced by an overweight dwarf who likes a beer or two.

Can't beat my Sealskinz gloves, can't remember which ones they are, only problem is when you wear them in the cold and the tips of your fingers are cold, you can't blow through the gloves to warm them up.

I just stick to generic base layers from Decathalon to be fair, cheap and cheerful.
