Thanks all,I never thought of podcasts so I’ll give them a go.

I’ve tried dpreview a couple of times for gear ideas, the format did my head in to be fair! (I may be a bit of a luddite with it though.

I assume they bought Vulpine as that’s been around for ages. Although no idea how long SP has been about – think I discovered it only a few years back.

They did, I don’t recall when though. I think the quality is still there which is good

It’s one of the Morthlane Group brands co-owned by the guys at Sportpursuit – along with Isobaa, Vulpine, Untrakt, Bolger, Fjern and a few others.

Their first attempts at kit used great materials but the cut and fit wasn’t always great, jackets bunching up behind the head etc. But, it is a whole lot better these days.

Had a guy knock the door multiple times last night shouting ‘Stand and Deliver’ when I opened the door.

I kept telling him he had the wrong house, but he was AdamAnt.

Moved from a three bed semi, with a lot of garden stuff. Just a about a mile between old and new house. £1000.

Put my details in to one of those compare the market type places for removal companies. Coukd have got it done for £400 as we had a load of calls from folks desperate for the work.

Wood aside. I bought a table for my Joe 3, first thing I did was put bigger casters on it, I’d go for as big a caster as you can get.

I work in aerospace composites and one of my responsibilities is NDT.

We use immersion ultrasonics, for the parts we manufacture, a program for a basic shape will take a few days including prooving. I have inspected bike parts for others in the past, looking at the scans, I wish I never had!

A company like Westmoreland testing, or SWSNDT (Mintons) would be able to give you a proper NDT inspection. Not sure what other techniques they have for composite materials though, I do know a few of the guys at SWS, they do do some mobile testing around the world so Im guessing it’s dry.

Anyone printing direct accusations(ie the papers) will quickly find themselves in court, and with no actual testimony to back up their stories, there is no chance of winning, so the crux of that is no stories or accusations will be published.

It’s great that the facilitator of the abuse has been found guilty, but there’s no chance the people who abused those trafficked will be prosecuted.

I liked the IDave diet doing the rounds rounds few years ago. Not low carb at all, all the carbs came from beans/legumes etc.

I’m in North Worcestershire, on the outskirts of Solihull – I have a dog that needs walking and plenty of places to walk him, if anyone wants to join us. Holler.

You ‘may’ have to listen to my pathetic inarticulate rants trying to put the world straight though.

We give our 7m old Spinone dried food, a white label grain free from These guys. we have it on repeat so get a further discount.

We did a lot of research on this site to find a good quality food and am very happy with the results.

We used to give 100% raw, but, needing the freezer space to store what we’d need and how we’d buy it to make it economical wasn’t really an option. We do still have a few tubs of Nature’s Menu in the freezer which we use as a topper, will sometimes give him some as a whole meal. We do however give him lots of raw ‘treats’ chicken wings/turkey/chicken carcasses/rabbit ears/fish etc.

I can’t for the life of me recall the name but there was one on London Road (I think) which was incredible.

IIRC, it was Gordon Ramsey’s favourite Indian restaurant*

*this was what the staff told me around 12 years ago.

    Edit, the Maharaja

Have a Maxx D, probably 5 or 6 years old. Never used it for MTB, road only, and that was around the same time ago. Used only as a loft torch now.

It’s the second one I’ve had, they’re incredible bits of kit, had a Strada, muliyple joysticks and a Diablo too. Well worth the money, and the service from Exposure has always been awesome too.

Digging in the garage earlier I found a Clarke Wizz Air Mini Compressor if anyone wants it? It works, never used in anger – or joy as I’m so ham fisted with airbrushing.

There’s three new, unbranded airbrushes too.

I’m in Solihull but happy to post if someone covers the cost.

Got the similar aged FiL an afternoon tea at a castle tea room near us. Not the dainty finger sandwich affair that you’d assume. More of a Ploughman’s style lunch which he’s not stopped talking about since we gave it him on Thursday.

    Where about does he live?

@thepilot, I get what you’re saying, appreciate it, the littlelun is slower than a snail on a pritt stick!

Maybe a trail dog was the wrong term, I don’t ride trails any longer :(- since having the youngest last year she’s The plan was to get him used to bikes so I can take him out one day with me and the eldest who is still only confident and interested to ride a couple of km on the canal.

Last time I rode my mrb was a 3.6 km ride doing loops of the local pub carpark during lockdown last summer.

I have a Victorianox laptop bag you can have if you want it. Plenty of pockets inside, more compartments than you can shake a stick at – I use the Osprey version. Not as many pockets but lighter and more comfortable to wear.

You’re months not weeks from any running of distance with a bike. At 18 months my lad is managing 12 or so km at full pace.

Cool! Thanks for that – the idea was to get him used to being around bikes when I take the wee one out on her balance bike.

Friend of mine had a Dalmatian, he used to take it marathon training. He’d run in the morning, the dog would still want walking at tea time as normal. It was relentless!

I had a Camelbak years ago which was superb but it gor snagged on something and tore beyond repair. I bought an Osprey to replace it which I love (I like the pockets and features). In my experience, the service from them is great too – the bladder leaked and I had it replaced for free no questions asked at a local Cotswold Outdoors. I still use it but mainly for walking now.

For riding I ha e another Camelbak, less features but it sits much lower – more on my hips, far comfier and less likely to snag on stuff.

I saw a post on Reddit last week about someone’s mum who sang down the phone to her after she messaged her saying she was having a crap day.

My other half did exactly that today so I called her and sang ‘you are my sunshine’ down the phone. Came home to the biggest hug which was nice.

Also arranged a BBQ for the weekend after finally getting our adoption order signed off on Monday. I’m now legally a daddy!

They’ve been giving it away for years, the only reason they’ve not tried selling it before is because of headlines like that.

I’m glad they have finally seen sense and are trying to get some money in for it. It’s anonymous so it can’t be traced back to individuals, I don’t have an issue personally. YMMV.

If they can finally get it to work this time!

Norbar are great for the home mechanic, but also consider Gedore (used to be Torqueleader), Stahwille or MHH Engineering.
