It’s as addictive as mtb biking so that £400 bike will be traded in for a carbon tastic all singing all dancing machine!
I know as I’ve done exactly that, I bought a cheap giant defy roadie to get fitter for mtbing. Now I’ve got a lovely road bike and I now wear Lycra!!
I’m still a out and out mtber but I do love the road bike for early morning blasts and when I’m short on time to drive somewhere and ride.

Exposure traceR all day long, excellent light, very bright and has a pulse mode which is brilliant as the light doesn’t go out unlike a flash.

The life adventure thermos mugs are excellent and they say there perfect fit for bottle cages to. I haven’t tried one in a cage as yet but it’s a really good thermos mug

I have a 2015 crush and it’s immense, I’ve changed it to 1×10 and added a droplet. It’s the very bright green.
It’s one hell of a capable bike,

Yeah I thought it would be a tough call to get warm and waterproof without bulk.
    Thanks for all the suggestions

I to have a exposure traceR, it’s a great bit of kit. I wouldn’t be scrimping when choosing a rear light as it’s your first line of defense so to speak. TraceRs aren’t that cheap but there fantastic. Treat yourself

I’ve got some endura singletrack trousers and there great, had them a few years now, but as soon as winter comes there straight out.
    Worth a look

I thought it was a good film to, some pretty radical riding, wish I could fly down those trails half as fast as those

I’ve got some sealskinz waterproof socks and I find them comfy to wear, feel strange at first but once riding I don’t notice there on

I run sram cassette and chain, along with Shimano slx for the rest. I find the sram cassette and chains longer lasting and better value

I wonder if they’ll stretch or give a little once worn for a couple of hours or so, or maybe just split!

See mine aren’t to bad round the thighs, more tight towards the top near the waist, but strangely still very comfortable

    So stick or twist?

Length seems perfect for me, it’s just a bit snug at the top, feels comfy when on though, just don’t want to be rocking some shorts that look to tight, like a fat bird in Lycra!!
I don’t wear pads so the leg is not an issue.
It’s a difficult decision as I love the shorts

Exposure traceR is an amazing rear light, not cheap though but reliable, very bright
    USB recharchable, super secure clamp
    Well worth the money

Yeah I read that to about impact, planning on a lot more winter rides this/next year in training for the hamsterley beast 2017 event, so may come in handy as knee warmers!

Thanks very much for the offer, I emailed bird bikes yesterday where I bought the shifter and they say it should have had the kit in so there gonna send me one.
But once again thanks for the kind gesture.

Sorry yeah I’m running 24-32 and 11-36, quite a strong climber. Current set up is enough to climb easily but under geared when flying down/along fire track.

Gotta be orange for me, hankered after one for years, no idea why if I’m honest. Finally got one a few months ago and it’s awesome. Kind of a religion once you have one(like vw)
Love the fact that there a UK brand to.

Also cannondale. Love them and had quite a few, currently got a road bike.
Again a kind of cult following

I’m 5ft 7 and ride a 52 cm cannondale. The 54 felt way to big for me.

Get the 2.2 tdci s-max and you have 200bhp or just under, plenty nippy enough. Get the titanium x sport to and it also looks the dogs. I have one as our family car and there great. Imo the best looking people carrier by far, handles like a car to

Went well, new sow trail is a bit hairy in places, but good.
Nomad start is good but closed after crossing the double fire track.
Found some good trails that I’d never ridden so all in all a good day.
That’s what led me to doing a mtb course, found myself a bit hesitant on some of the sow trail which wouldn’t of bothered me last year.
