Well my wife broke her ankle just after the first check point so job was buggered after that, my lad really enjoyed the riding that he did get in though. Hes keen to do it again without mum slowing him down he said.

Saw a fat foreign bloke riding a moped with a fag hanging from his mouth wearing a woolly hat with a kids cycle helmet on top which was about ten sizes too small..made me chuckle

The works has a slightly different frame making the back end just that bit stiffer,iv got a t130s and i love it. i prefer the 10spd for those extra gears on real techy climbs. plus its cheaper to maintain in the long run.must admit the pikes feel a better fork than the revs though.

Im riding a med and im 5’8 and have never felt so comfy on a bike in a long time, tyre wise i stuck a 2.3 minion up front and was running a 2.25 ardent with no problem till i killed it,so iv gone with a spes puragory on the back to see how that survives. I have used a 2.4 high roller 2 with no problems re clearance on the back.perfect allday trail machine .

Dont think you will find a better allround bike for the money than the t 130s, i rode nan bield on sat on mine and there was nothing it wouldnt handle up there, then a spin round whinlatter on sun just felt great..really fun bike … sram shifting never missed a beat. buy one, you wont be disapointed.

Garburn pass rough enough [kentmere side]? rode it with ease.. the slacker head angle makes such a difference, just lean back and hang on.iv ridden my 130s 2-3 times a week for the last 6 weeks round the lakes and not found any problems with it desending.

@ princejohn.. the revs on my 130s had that sag to start with but once id ridden the forks and they had bedded in the sag has gone ,it feels like there topping out now though. there going in to get checked out this week, plus the reverbs got play already. Still think its one of the best allround bikes iv ever ridden.

Plus if anyone is looking for a med s i think wheelbase have got one in stock and a sx in the small if it helps anyone looking.

Im 5’8 and the med fits a treat, the tt on the large is nearly 2cm longer which felt way to stretched out yet the standover was still ok. I havent felt the need to change anything from stock as it felt well balanced going up and down.the bike is a fare bit heavier than i thought but doesnt feel heavy whilst riding it.

So after a week of riding my T130s im finding out its strengths and weaknesses, finding the paint chips really easy so heli tape it from new,the wtb tyres are great in the dry and smooth stuff but show them a wet n rocky lakeland down hill and there crap, watch out for the front mech cable rubbing on the swing arm when its compressed, seems the cable clip is not tucked back a enough, easy sorted by zipting it futher round the seat tube. plus the gear outer on the bb shell rubs in the clip, but doesnt really need to be hooked into that. Just thought id give you guys a heads up before you hit the trails on those long awaited steeds..Other than that its f*cking awsome..

I was up there yesterday and the snow line started from the switchbacks halfway up,slushy turning to lumpy ice/snow further towards the top.It should have melted a bit more by now though as it seems a bit milder today.enjoy.

Have look at the maxxis beaver, not sure if it comes in as wide as 2.4 ,iv just got one and seem very impressed so far.still rolls fast on the road due to the 70a/60a compound.

Try pissing in your own garden at night, they dont like the sent, also try hanging some old cds around cos the reflextion spooks them out when they catch the light..it worked for us,plus you dont need to stand on watch with your toy gun or water pistal all night..

I went from a steel frame to a cannondale synapse,my back was the same, changed the bar height, swapped my saddle and stuck some fatter tyres on and that made a big differance, but stretching my hamstrings and hips was the one thing that really helped . Going from a mountain bike relaxed position to a low stretched out one after so many years gave my flexability a shock..stretch.. its cheaper than buying a new frame but not as much fun.

I had a weezy chest for about 2 months now, had steroids anti bs,chest x rays the lot. Found out it is pneumonia, im okjust plodding about but when i sprint or put any effort in im weezing for an hour later. The only way they found out was from a spit sample. So get to the docs with a sample and get them to check it out cos if its left it could get worse.

I had the same problem, been a 43 in spesh shoes for years, must have had 6 prs now. Walked into a shop this week for my a new pr of 43s..to tight,44 to big???? really struggling to find a shoe that fits now, they do half sizes in the s works top end shoe, but they come with a top end price tag.

The s works mtb shoe is the only model in the range which they do half sizes in.Why not the lower priced shoes? Seems daft, Surly they sell more mid range shoes than top end race shoes.
