oh what joy looks like its the van, job was apparently done properly with the right adapter kit but the ‘module’ looks to be faulty.

Dont know if we can get a new one in time……f ups holiday plans a bit all the sites in France we are booked in are miles from anywhere next to cycle tracks….

Do I remember right that corbyn held Germany up as an example investing in youth vocational training… or something along those lines

Yeah that’s what I thought with mine until I considered smart meters, cctv, security systems, t’internet, wireless doorbells, emergency call buttons, speakers, landline wireless handsets, microwaves, satellite systems etc etc the list goes on and on (according to google) with regard things that may adversely affect the wifi signal not suggesting that is what’s causing your problem.

Oh and BT solution was to take out a new broadband contract with a fancy new hub….(which after a lot of questioning they admitted that it might not sort the problem and they do not guarantee wifi signal strength and I would not be able to cancel the contract should it not resolve the problem)

I had the same problem…the world according to google suggested it was down to a neighbour or someone close getting a bit of wifi kit that was interfering with the band I was on. Changed bands but didn’t really help.

Out of curiosity those who have bought a composite door was it for security or longevity? Keep considering getting one but always come back to the same point why spend mucho pounds getting a door that would survive attack from the most determined door bashing, would they not just smash a window with a brick and climb through?

Made one out of timber for a couple of hundred quid (most of that was the memory foam) as a test never bothered to buy a proper one in the end. Can feel a bit claustrophobic with the head height but did mean we could still shove loads of gear underneath.

theotherjonv – you know what they say ‘if you have to ask how much, you can’t afford it’ if I based it on a comment Mark made on his site about how long he spent doing the outline to that picture, I could probably afford to pay him to sharpen his pencil. No doubt the work that goes into Beate’s stuff would put it beyond my limits…..just daydreaming really oh and polluting your thread with useless waffle

Funny business this art stuff having never seen Mark or Beate’s stuff I’m now fixated on a piece by Mark (like the cog one) but my kids riding down the tread of a tyre and one of Beate’s of my kids riding through the trees in the local wood with all the bluebells in the background..

I’d love a bit of original artwork featuring my kids and bikes, can’t quite get my head around the detail of Marks ( with a pencil ) and Beate stuff is fantastic. Must have been skiving when they handed out artistic ability, find myself in awe of anyone that can do that stuff.

    Inappropriate dishwasher stacking.

Putting dirty dishes etc next to the sink for the washing up fairy.

If the dishes do go in the sink they go in with what food scraps remained.

Starting a job just as we are about to leave for somewhere.

finding plenty of spare time to look at holidays/facebook etc but never time to look at alternative insurance quotes for her car etc.

Tidying involves putting things in piles and leaving it there.

    Cooking involves every dish/pot/pan/knife/fork/spoon etc

Making arrangements then asking me if it is okay.

If i was of a suspicious nature I may conclude she does the above knowing it irritates me so I do it instead.

Cheers for that I must be looking in the wrong places then. So far when I have clicked to buy a phone the only payg sims they have are the ‘package’ ones.

Would prefer to just swap my old SIM (on EE) card over into a new phone but again my obviously inadequate research suggest for new phones they now all take micro or nano sims, not the original size.

I had the window virus one….
kept him on for a while then asked him if the problem would affect the new door i had installed at the same time as the windows…he got it in the end had a chuckle and said that’s a good one and hung up.

some times i have a bit of fun with them sometimes hang up…depends what mood I’m in. Enjoy repeating ‘pardon can you speak up’ to the hearing loss ones at the moment.

Mike can I ask what your background is? I’m reasonably handy but don’t think I would have the confidence to cut holes in the van/ fix the seats in etc

Alex…not sure that is right, my t5 would be subject to reduced speed limits if it was a normal van. It’s a kombi so registered as a diesel car which is why they do not apply to mine.

Thanks for the response mike, I really like your design I can see it would work for us too. I also like the fact you are only paying for what you need by diy not some of the frippery and extras included in a proper motorhome.

My big choice would be garage at the back or smaller van? I keep going around in circles….smaller van easier to park etc…but we always take bikes on a rack making the van longer and around I go. 😀

Mike one quick question, how many bikes can you get in the garage bit? (ie can you get the kids bikes in as well?)

I will keep an eye on this then with much interest.

Sorry to hijack/jump ahead is the front bed going to be formed with the box/bench seat thing at the front meaning you can just use a standard van seat for the kid.

Yep Solaris has bunks the tribute has double size bunks across the back. Same problem with bikes though. We always take cheap bikes when away with the kids anyway so the garage bit looks good but not essential.

Ooo very close to what I’m after…..currently trying to decide between quality of wildax Solaris the budget trigano tribute or diy/ part diy similar to yours.

V interested in what you are doing and price

I have read the framework, handbook etc but struggled to find what I was searching for hence my question to the font of all knowledge that is singletrack.

But if the teaching etc has been good but they then found the h&s issues would they then change the wording/grade for the teaching etc to match the bad grade/score for h&s ?

Is there a specific bit of the frame work that relates to this eg ‘a school deemed to be inadequate on the security h&s criteria can only every be deemed to reach that standard in overall effectiveness’ ?

I have re purchased a helmet and in random fashion have gone for the ixs this time, I have also rationalised that the turbo was bought in a beer haze and as such I should have to suffer the consequences of my rash action, thus have re ordered that as well. Thank you and welcome

Boo to tweeks cycles, ‘usually dispatched within 24hrs’ has turned into ‘around 22 day’s’ when I chased my order. So when I cancel the order and go on the search again can I still order the turbo trainer and class it as a beer buy even though I’m no longer under the influence of leffe (and port) ?

Blimey, been wearing lenses 20 plus years never heard of that infection before, never thought twice about wearing them swimming or in water. I have been pretty lackadaisical in my approach to cleaning etc in the past. I feel fortunate today. A quick google shows a 1 in 30000 chance though and only 12% of that figure wore hard GP lenses. Feel for jkomo’s cousin though ….

Is what self install? What we have now? It was done when we had the house rewired. What I want to avoid is a bt engineer turning up saying it won’t work unless he does x y or z then wanting to surface fix cables etc inside the house. If I know before hand it could run a new cable from the bt box on the outside of the house and pop through the bedroom wall and make that into the master socket.

Can you get a bt engineer to do an inspection before you order?

I have to say I’m very envious of your landrover meccano, the skill and ability to put it back together and the space you have in the garage/workshop.
