    Microwaving Fish
    Rubbish in the compost
    Not using the bog brush
    Not even flushing
Picking nose and wiping it on cubicle walls

if it wasn’t for the compost comment I’d swear we worked in the same place.

    It’s all yours

I will have to get someone to get it out the loft for me as I’m restricted at the mo (after getting knocked off my bike – broken shoulder/ribs/wrist).

Just in case anyone’s got a bug-eye scooby estate I’ve got a rigid load liner that’s free to a good home, you just have to collect it (too big to post). It’s a genuine Subaru product that cost me a canny wack, hence why I can’t bring myself to throw it out. I’d rather give it away.

Anyway, if it’s of any use please email me.

Here’s me thinking this thread was about a custom spray job on a pair of forks. I feel slightly disappointed to be honest :|

DrS on retrobike was having a dabble I think Iain, might be worth giving him a tinkle? He’s working at Thompsons Garage on Coopies Lane in Morpeth (the last time I had my car there for an MOT)

On the plus side, I may have pain but I’m so off my tits on painkillers that I don’t really care,

On the downside, I’ve done both arms (left shoulder and right wrist). Thankfully the wife’s off work to help with dressing/washing etc. Just waiting for the laxatives to kick in after all the morphine and codeine. I can’t wait to see her face when I ask her to wipe my arse (she is a nurse and is used to caring for strangers so my arse wiping should be no bother for her).

The idea of a parlee has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons….not sure I could justify riding such a nice bike most of the time….could I?

    POSTED 9 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

if there’s anyone that can’t justify riding a Parlee it’s me. But who cares?! It’s the only bike I’ve ever had that makes me want to go out for a ride every time I look at it. I just need to make sure I’m wearing Rapha to complete the justification.

Not the coloured lacquer over carbon, more ‘running paint’ effect.

I’ll sort a pic out tomorrow.

Climbing. Scared shitless descending after a spill a few months back resulting in several broken ribs. It’s so bad I nearly pulled out of this year’s Fred Whitton on the first descent of the day.

Think I’m too old now to get my confidence back.

A guy I sometimes ride with (road) had an off coming down Honister Pass. He broke his pelvis in 4 places. He had it plated back together and is back riding again. He was confined to the turbo trainer to start with (following his surgeons instructions – who is also a keen cyclist) but now you’d never know, he’s back racing/time trialling/putting big miles in etc.

I was just thinking of driving naked after bathing in baby oil. But that might spoil the suede on the steering wheel.

Still recovering from campylobacter food poisoning. 9 days now, but getting better. Just need to find out where I’ve been losing blood from now, wasn’t aware I was but my blood tests say otherwise! Getting them checked again tomorrow. Hopefully things heading in the right direction and I’ll be able to get back out on the bike this weekend.

Was supposed to have been in training for this coming weekend’s Moss Trooper 300km Audax. Sadly I’ve had my arse glued to the bog since Thursday as I’ve got some horrendous stomach bug.

When I say stomach I really mean colon. My stomach is fine actually.

I pity the lab tech that has to open my stool specimen 8O

Make sure the shifter is set to the smallest cog (front and rear), pull the hood away from the bars and over the small gear change lever. Cut the old cable and push it towards the shifter, you’ll see it come out underneath to the outside of the brake lever. Then feed in new cables. The bugger bit is getting it to go through the cable guide in the top of the lever (and out into the outer cable). Take care at this point, make sure only enough cable is showing to go round the guide and into the hole leaving the shifter into the outer cable, then get something to push down on the end of gear cable to guide it into the little hole.

    Does that make sense?! :?

Also, make sure when feeding new cable into the shifter that the cables are actually going through the cable stop. I thought I’d **** one of my Super Record shifter mechanisms but it turned out I’d missed the cable stop and fed the cable up the side of it. When I tried to shift from inner to outer rings at the front there was a loud clip then nothing…..! Cue much sweating and panic until I realised what I had done.

A bit late to this party, sorry

You need to check the freehub is tight (remove non-drive side cap, 10mm Allen key in making sure it’s seated correctly – 5mm Allen key in drive side then try and tighten). If that doesn’t sort out the play then it’s new freehub time.

I doubt it’s Campag to blame, Italian it may be but boy does it work.

[edit] Should have said, I may not have 10 years experience wrenching in a bike shop but I do have the hands of the most cack-handed person you’re ever likely to meet, if I can get it to work faultlessly, without any faff then it’s Campag all the time for me (once indexed, that I manage to do first time, then it never needs adjusting until I replace the cables yearly).

My mate’s fake Oakley polarised lens is also a lot thinner than the others.

I’ve never compared genuine Oakley polarised lens against other genuine lens so shouldn’t comment.

Is the Duva the one next to the Uyal? Looked at that for our family hol in August, but my wife wanted to go back to the Uyal again.

I’ll be there the last week of May, getting excited now (even though I’m so unfit at the mo). Desperate to do Sa Calobra again, and Soller via Puig Major…………happy days!

Edit: meant to add, +1 for Alpha Rooms.

Just about every hotel in Puerto Pollensa.
2 good road bike hire shops (that I know of). Just depends whether you want 4 star half board or B&B? We stayed in the Hotel Daina last year (and this April). Last year we were there 3rd week in April, cost us £100 each for 5 nights half board. This year we’re a week later, it’s costing £100 more.
I have also stayed in the Pollensa Park, it’s cheaper than the Daina but it’s clean and the food’s ok.

I have also stayed in the Uyal (with the family). It also has secure bike lock up, sister hotel to the Daina.
