I prefer 685mm, although I am currently using 710mm as I gave my son the 685mm ones.
I keep moving my hands in as they aren’t comfy using the full width.
Must look out for some cheap 685’s…or get the pipe cutter out
I had 2 cars over the last 10 years that I had converted to LPG…It was worth it as LPG was cheap and I was doing lots of miles. I have now bought a Mondeo Diesel however as LPG is relatively more expensive now and I’m doing less miles. Never had any trouble mechanically but you do have to keep topping up your valve saver (another cost) or your engine will lose compression and eventually wont go up hills.
I wear lycra bib shorts as they’re comfy…sometimes I wear shorts over the top. On the road bike lycra is great in the wet
White lycra is all wrong however…..
Cant commute as its too far….but as Ive been working from home lately ive been doing an early morning ride before work on my road bike bought through the cycle to work scheme….does this count?
Depends on the finish you want to achieve…I always used Bri Wax as you could polish to a high gloss sheen if required with a bit of elbow grease.
Brush on (using an old paintbrush 2″ – 3″), wipe excess off with a rag, buff with a brush (Like a shoepolish brush) and then buff to your required sheen with a rag/polisher
I have just zip tied to the closed guides…..i did try removing the hose but the olive wouldn’t fit through and as I didn’t have any olives or bleed kit or mineral oil I quickly reconnected the hose hoping I wouldn’t have to bleed the brake.
The only other thing I could think of would be to cut a slot in the guides just wide enough to squeeze the hose in.
I built my inbred from the classifieds and it ended up costing about £450.
I could have bought a decent spec inbred for that already built with hindsight……learnt a lot building it though and acquired most of the tools needed to maintain it.
I run it with some old but good 130mm z1 freeride forks at the moment and it rides well over all terrain.
Go up Blackwood road, turn left up rakehead to cragg quarry. Do a few laps then back onto Rakehead/rooley moor road till you get to the Lee quarry link. Bomb down to Lee Quarry and mess about on the pump track. That should kill 2 – 3 hours
