When you say ‘we the general public still buy our papers’, i don’t doubt for one minute, judging by the cogent arguments here, that anyone who has contributed to this thread buys a redtop.
Unfortunately there is a massive percentage of the public who do buy them, don’t think for themselves, and will not bat an eyelid at her return to prominence. It makes me sad and angry in equal measure

When my kids were young i used to impress their friends by doing one handed pull ups. The cleverer ones used to point out i was cheating.

Jumped 6.50m at 17 yrs old and we used to run 3x 800 reps of around 2:20 in winter for stamina training. That was 30 years ago and you could halve one and double the other now 🙁

Left and went to BT a few months ago (we were paying 80 quid a month). Internet is faster but the sport is pretty crap and the search menus aren’t as intuitive as sky.
Having said that i only watch the cricket and rugby, and if you get a now tv box you can get a weeks sky sport pass for a tenner, and i am much happier not paying to support murdoch’s evil empire

Don’t panick folkes, we still get to bat again remember 😮
This would be plenty even if we didn’t have another go. Some of you are just getting greedy

Indeed Lemony, Starc is moving the ball really late, bodes very well for england later today.

There is a pub at Gisburn (Dog and Partridge at Tosside). If anyone ever fancies a ride round there with a bit of nice ‘cheeky’ thrown in, let me know.
I really wanted to come on the Sabden ride but i’m umpiring a game of u15’s cricket that evening, if i can get a replacement I shall break my MNPR duck

Bugger, is Sabden this monday? I really wanted to do this one as I am nearby, but i am running a kids cricket match. Time to start looking for a stand in umpire

I’m watching on sky but am tempted to put TMS on just to hear Geoffrey’s mullering of the Aussie batting.

The magazine and forum have lost a fair few friends and contributors over those years, some friends and others just felt like friends. I think most regulars have been touched in one way or another.

Wrap in bacon with red peppers, baby tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, a teaspoon of philadelphia, and a touch of balsamic. Wrap in tinfoil and cook. Then huck at passing octogenarian.

Sorry to disagree folkes but I tried a steep grassy climb (up Hareden Fell in the Trough of Bowland if anyone has done it) on my friends Capra. The Capra climbed the tricky muddy stuff better than my beloved Whyte XT120, but once it got really steep it needed that granny ring, and the Whyte kept going. The Capra would have been brilliant with a granny. I do however prefer going uphill rather than down.

Jeez, never seen or heard anything like that. Would have posted earlier but the internet went off. I’m in Clitheroe and it rolled right over us, a good 45 mins of constant sheet and fork lightning.

P20 is great as it bonds to your skin and doesn’t need reapplying. However it is bloody expensive. Work colleague of mine has just come back from Dubai where her fair skinned family used Lidl’s cheaper equivalent, and she said it worked just the same, I will be buying some when the P20 runs out.
