Let the bike shop sort it out…. If you accidentally break something this will most likely cease to be become a warranty issue and you could be charged for any repair.

If you really want one, if you are able try and get a new(ish)shape car (Changed at the end of 2004) and if you do get the old shape. As above DO NOT buy an auto.

Not really a Mercedes IMO, and I deal in them !

Scottish Terrier… a smallish dog that a man can walk without recrimination ! Ours is a great dog, and not too mad or overly demanding.

I am sure the car will be fine. I doubt many people will have driven it,and dealers very rarely allow customers to take cars unaccompanied these days. It would only be of concern if the car has had evidence of accident damage, or been smoked in or shows any signs of abuse.

In short if the spec is right, the price is ok and the car something like 30 months Manufacturers warranty and RAC/AA cover etc. Then you should just get it !

    IMO.

Yep albino, I have considered that also and researched ‘musicians earplugs’ look like the thing (Might get myself some while I’m at it ! )

[all is cool as long as the kid understands that it will be busy and noisy]
I think thats right ! thanks.

Still it’s a fairly big step IMO, sort of introducing my child to my previously ‘adult’ life.

Just got back ! Dry and warm in Surrey 😀 looks like it could be the last good night for a while though. We could even sit and have a pint outside the pub without inviting Mr Hypothermia.

Yep! Beautiful day outside, Mates have all gone riding, including a couple of lads that don’t come down this way much anymore.
I on the other hand am sitting looking at the ideal riding conditions, waiting for a potential customer who is already 24mins 42secs late ! 🙁

It will break my heart to consign a perfectly good and faithful light to the box at the back of the garage (obviously never actually throw ANYTHING away) and be forced into that new fangled LED movement ! 🙁

Don’t let that stop anyone answering the question, as I (and a few more I suspect) would love to know! There have been a few threads regarding this subject over the last couple of years though I think the situation regarding replacement bulbs has changed.

I agree with the electronic kit route, which products would any of you recommend with around a £500- £600 budget which I am guessing is about the minimum spend for something half decent !

Good call ! but what about electronic kits or practise kits it’s a minefield any advice ?

To sum up. If it's small it's like a car, and you can drive it everywhere, however it probably will not have secure storage, a toilet, shower and luxury stuff for extended or remote trips; but you can sleep, cook, and wash in it! so it depends upon what your intended use is. life is a compromise !

You did the right thing! unfortunately people are left with little alternative than to sort things out themselves. It's not just W Yorks I can tell you. For what it's worth we have had some problems recently, this sure did illustrate the massive void between Surrey police and CSI! Utterly hopeless!!

Don't listen to this lot………….. Maidenhead has it's ups and downs like anywhere so depends on your street, but can be lovely, and is close to A LOT of good things (not just bike related !) I used to work just up the road in Ascot, for a long time, and have friends in the area.

If you mean the track that comes out opposite a wall by a house….. Rideable, but can be difficult to stop before the road when it's wet ! So not recommended. It is very rutted at the moment due to water erosion. There are lot's of other descent options from there though.

How old is the MINI and does the MINI dealer chosen have their own bodyshop, or do they sub it out ?
In fact, which dealer is it?
