Driving whilst under the influence of trying to eat a freshly microwaved burning hot pasty,(available at many petrol stations) as it scalds your mouth and then falls into your lap ! is surely the most dangerous act of all.

Eat too much, get drunk, get grief for eating too much and getting drunk. Get too drunk to care, fall asleep happy. Great motivation to set New Year riding resolutions the following day. (Never drinking again ! will ride in ALL weathers etc) Christmas is coming like it or not…….

No doubt in an ideal world everyone reading this would Cycle to work,at least on the finer days.
I have never worked anywhere (I work from home now) that had suitable changing/showering facilities, and it doesn't leave any flexibility…… unexpected late meeting, collect kids from friends, etc.

If your working environment encourages you riding in, then consider yourself fortunate.

There is definately a stronger connection in the MTB world with going to the pub for a post ride pint or three! (otherwise we would all be "Skinny roadies") If the people writing have a 'post ride pint' culture then that will be included,in their articles. Not only do I not think that this glamorises drinking but I do not think that these magazines are read by young and impressionable kids anyway.
