My family don’t even know this (and fortunately don’t read this forum) but we had the same thing happen, not very long into the term, but we now have a healthy, happy 3 year old. I hope you get over it and are able to move forward with your lives.

Ended up going for the Gloworm from Neninja, plan will be to eventually use it on the helmet and get something like the Fluxient 3XU2 for the bars.

    Thanks for the input everyone.

Cheers Deus, you are supposed to be making it easier not harder to pick

    So it’s either;
    MTB Batteries V2
    MTB Batteries Luminator
    Magicshine UK MJ-872
See and Be Seen 1200 Cree XML-T6
    Gloworm X2
    or
    Fluxient 3XU2

    anything else for the list?

stem is 100mm I think, previous one was 30 or 50mm, there are no bar ends?

I want to lighten the build up a bit for UK trail riding so will be looking at some lighter forks which will be white.

OK, so it’s a bit like triggers brush, but forks, wheels, brakes, and bars are still the same 8)

Also put some of the black self amalgamating tape on the chain stay

I’ve just ‘done’ my white BLTc and I slapped frame wrap anywhere that cables touched the frame!

The stuff I used is pretty invisible once fitted so you can’t see it and the frame is better protected.

I’ve got the POC polymer ones and have worn them for 8+ hours without noticing they are there.

I can see this from both sides, as a seller I want as much as I can get from an item as the proceeds usually go to fund more bike kit.

But as a buyer I’d be very annoyed if I’d just paid for something 2nd had that I could have got for just a little more brand new, usually with a warranty etc.

As mentioned above, I think that the forum should be a community where everyone is out to help each other.

IMHO If people want to over charge / rip people off then they should sell stuff on eBay or pinkbike etc.

Sorry to hear about your loss, it’s frightening the number of reported thefts on this site.

how did they cut through the locks, was it a hacksaw or croppers?

Do you think there was anything you could have done to stop them, bigger better lock etc?

Questions for the benefit of this not happening to someone else.

    Thanks

Nice bike, I’ve just built up an XL with bits from my previous bike and it weighs 31lb, but it has Saint brakes with large rotors and Fox 36 Talas forks.

I plan on slimming mine down as finances allow.

Good to see what it could potentially come down to.

    RS4KEV, Wrecker

thanks for checking, yes a dropper post is the next purchase.

Wrecker, there is routing for a dropper under the top tube but it’s for a cable dropper so some creative solution required for hydraulic hose.

I’ve often wondered when someone shouts “on your left” does that mean they are passing on your left or want you to move to your left for them to pass on the right?

I wonder if I can gain a few mm as the seat clamp is this one,

Maybe a clamp with a very small overlap would give me more room.

Seems a shame to loose an inch of drop due to a few mm

Mike could you explain the bit about drop I don’t quite follow you.

Anyone got photos with measurements next to one?

Cheers Bland, I plan on getting a dropper at some point but having just purchased the frame I’m a bit skint at the moment.

I was actually a little worried that there wouldn’t be enough seat tube for a dropper, but I guess I’ll have to measure the post at my normal riding height and get all the measurements to hand.

I guess I was a bit surprised as my last frame had an uninterrupted seat tube and I could drop the saddle right down to the QR collar.

hi ive got fox 36s on my ltc ! works great , climbing can be tricky so with an extra 10mm ?? might not be ideal

Hey Nobby I’m just building up a 2012 LTc with 36 Talas RC2’s I was worried that 160mm might be a bit long as the general consensus seems to be 150mm are a nice fit.

How do you find it with the 36’s?

Thanks for all the inputs, some good food for thought, and Juan my daughter has a Beinn 20 which she rides at least once a week and my son is getting better every time he uses his Rothan, as soon as he’s mastered balance there is a Cnoc 16 waiting for him. 8)

Stu, unless you are double jointed, how do you measure the sag by yourself when you are sat on the bike?

    Lakes_Puma

thanks for input, I should have mentioned that it will be only used with a ground anchor and not carried around so weight not an issue.

Wilko sounds like you and I are from the same mould, I’m also 6’1 and have a long torso (cars with sun roofs are a PITA) inside leg is 33″

Also If I can get up to Stroud I may take you up on the offer of trying it for size.

    Thanks.

sorry Al, was it the effect that make no sense or my description of what happened, if it’s the latter then smiththemainman summed it up well, the bike suddenly felt a lot heavier.
