I run a Zee mech with a stubby cage on an 11-36 cassette so, yes you can get away with it.

I thought it was big-big plus 2 links but have found the best way to get the chain length right on my setup was to route the chain through the mech, shift to the 36t on the cassette and then let air out of rear shock and move rear wheel through the travel and find the point where the chain is at it’s tightest then remove enough links so the rear mech is extended but not over stretched.

I’m also running a zee with the stubby cage so chain length is pretty critical I’ve found.

I didn’t think you needed a long cage with a double chain ring let alone a single one?

I’m going to post a full report asap but basically I had a Blur LTc frame that was getting very close to 2 years old when the frame developed an ‘issue’ it was still ridable but I contacted Santa Cruz USA and Jungle about it and about a month later Jonty at Jungle handed me a brand new Bronson C frame.

That’s why I’d buy another SC without a moments hesitation.

Front brake hose, check on my list of finishing bits to do.
Got a set of Hoops / Flow EX on order but they are like rocking horse poop at the moment.
As soon as I can afford one I’ll be getting a Reverb Stealth and timing the hose to length on that.

    Cheers for nice comments guys.

    Hey FieldMarshal

Funnily I’ve just ordered a Beinn 26 small for my daughter as she’s now exceeding the recommended maximum height for her Beinn 20 Large and Isla said this was a natural progression.

Sounds like I made the right choice based on your findings, scarily my daughter is 7!

looking at the SRAM tech docs, the Drive side lower leg should have 5 mL of oil, that’s like a child’s medicine spoon, how does that small amount do anything, I would have though that would simply coat the inner walls of the lowers and never get near the bushes or stanchions?

I was just interested in opinions , to give it some context I’m not talking expanding by a couple of feet, in one instance they have doubled the size of their garden.

Well I’ve just checked the SC UK website and according to that nowhere in the UK has a Bronson in anything other than medium :(

I have a volt with the lumbar reservoir and absolutely love it. I haven’t even put the MULE on my back since getting the Volt and I evangelize about to anyone who will listen.

Sorry, I was just being a total dumb @ss, I think I was having several thoughts regarding gears ratios, single speeds and wheels sizes.

I think I was actually thinking along the lines of having a triple ring crank and a singlespeed backend has this ever been done and if not why not?

My vote is for the Urge All-M, with the Urge helmets it’s very reliant on it fitting the shape of your head as there is no adjusting, just multiple pads to swap in and out.

Fortunately they fit my head (also have an Urge Down-o-Matic) and are so comfy I forget I’m wearing the All-M in a matter of minutes.

With regards to the pads I love the fact the front pad absorbs sweat and have never got to the point where it starts to run down and be an issue.

I just make sure I wash the pads regularly with Halo (fantastic stuff and so glad I discovered it thanks to this site!) and they stay fresh.

I decided on the Lake MXZ303 after reading lots of good reviews on them, I went for a 45 Wide but it’s just a bit small front to back as it fits fine with thin socks on so I’m swapping them for a 46 Wide, once they arrive I’ll report back with my impressions.

Doh!, I read it as move feet further back!

Yes, of course moving cleats back will move my feet further forwards.

I’ll give that a go, thanks for suggestion.

I find it hurts more with my heels dropped and I haven’t noticed the pain when riding my other bike with flats as my feet tend to be placed further forwards with the pedal axle under the bridge of my foot.

Thanks for quick responses, the wheel that had the stationary puncture is one that I do seem to have a problem getting the tire to seat correctly, takes some pulling and pushing to seat the bead so I think you are onto something.

I’m running the same drive train setup on a Blur and found the tolerances to be tiny it took me quite a while to find the balance of chain length and B-screw, but it seems fine now and runs sweet as a nut.

oh, I’ve pressed the bearing out of the jockey wheel, it seemed to drift out without an issue.

I’ll try and get the dimensions from it, but I don’t know how accurate I will be, I was hoping someone would just say “oh yeh they are a 602RS” or something like that :(

I’ve p!ssed around with various ghetto methods in the past with threaded rods, bots etc.

After the last time of having to bash the bolt from the side to straighten it up, I purchased the park tool.

It now takes seconds and is perfect every time.

Had the same issue with my daughter.

Sold the bike and bought a Islabike instead.

I’m on Sky fiber now and am getting a connection speed of just under 40Mbs.

reliability seems ok so far, time will tell.

Civic, BMW 1 series, yup that’s what I was kind of thinking.

Was hoping for some surprise recommendations also. :-)

    Hmm, moon on a stick?

This is what my current car does

    Maximum Speed: 106 mph
    0-60 acceleration 11.9 sec
    Urban fuel consumption: 54.3 mpg
Extra Urban fuel consumption: 67.3 mpg
    Combined fuel consumption: 61.4 mpg
    Co emissions 119 g/km

I thought it would be easy to beat.

Yep iainc, I got a roll of that too :-), it’s arrived and is in a sealed bag with the usual Shimano multi-language installation pamphlet, but there are no markings on the outer cable itself.

I am in the same boat as in an O2 customer and decided to move to fibre as it has just been installed in my street cabinet and ended up going through the O2 migration team and getting a great deal with Sky.

I’m still waiting for it to be activated so can’t comment on fibre speed, but I haven’t noticed an significant drop in my existing broadband.
