This one makes me smile as it was the very start of the Skyline & I had no idea just how much climbing was involved, 😆

I have the white pin stripe on my Nobby Nic's but have not seen the coloured sidewalls before, think they're only OEM as mentioned.

We all started off on CM or CB 125 from the early '80s.
They are proper sized twin cylinder 4 strokes that were very very reliable.
Must be still some about you could pick up cheaply till your ready to upgrade.

Mmmmmm…… I have some Nic's with 'Double Defence' sidewalls which I save to use at rocky centres and found more grip at lower pressures than my standard Nic's so your right about the flimsy side wall.

Wow! firstly thanks for all the replies everyone. I did think it was a one step 'cure' to replace specs altogether however I think I'll have the consultation anyway (obviously without committing to anything) then go visit my local opticians to find out the lense options as I've only ever had thin, single vision photochromic lenses so don't know about vari-focal and the such.
I was just getting fed up of having to look over the top of my specs to read, work on my bike, tell the time etc and its escalated to all these options, lol.

I love the screaming sound of my M4's, although they only sing in really damp conditions as opposed to being soaking wet.
Mind you riding in a group it's fun to hear who brakes early or unnecessarily and then the banter adds to the fun!
