Always awake early Sunday morning as it's 'my' time so to speak.
Cup of coffee, get my kit ready and a tweak & fettle of the bike, then a read of the forums then out I go to my mates around 5.30 to begin the mornings ride out!

Last June after a few beers with a mate I was riding home around 21.30 on a very quiet road with lights & lid when the blues & twos from behind had me wondering where they were going? I was stopped, questioned & given a breath test which I failed. After being given a stop & search card, was told to push the rest of the way as he was on duty for the night and if he saw me riding again that evening he would nick me for drink driving!

Sat there like a lump for ten mins then tried the padlock which of course was open!

Anyway the new trail is really very well constructed & alot of fun with a few little tricky bits thrown in. Well done to all involved!

Ride my mtb an average of around 20 miles on a Tuesday evening group ride & 35 miles with a couple of mates on a Sunday.
The evening rides are within BST, however the Sundays are about 48 out of 52 weeks!

If you really didn't trip the camera at way over the limit the chances are you won't ever hear from 'les cops'……………………..
however they can retain the information and if you stopped in France in the future for whatever reason they'll then bring up this speeding ticket for your attention!

Thanks mate, good advice, I would start about an hour or so before sunrise to ascend, then depending on conditions choose which path to come down. This has become an itch I've got to scratch.

Thanks for sharing those Doug, really enjoyed. This is one ride I need/have/must do,soon!
    Some quick questions,
Where do you park to ascend via Llanberis path?
Is Rangers marked to begin the descent from the summit?
How do I rejoin LLanberis to get back to the car?
Is doing this solo a huge no-no? (seems everyone uses fullface lids, which i don't have)
    Thanks in advance.

No specialist tools. Remove cassette, put largest cog back on with lock ring then pull firmly. Jobs a good'un.
