There’s also the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (formerly known as the Parrot Zoo), not actually been even though it’s only about a mile and a half from us, but would be nice for a 6 year old perhaps? About 10 miles south of Skeg, at Friskney, signed off the A52.

You’ll all be pleased to here that it’s almost clear now, and was very pleasant sitting in it in the lovely sunshine this afternoon. 😀

I have an Edge 800 (probably about 7 years old) and it’s been out in all weathers, and plenty of rain when I lived in Manchester and used it daily. Still works perfectly 😀

I don’t mind dropping you an email with some tips to keep it right, let me know.

That’d be great, thanks. I believe we can do messages on here these days?
The ph is now 7.2, bromine level is ok, the odd smell has lessened, but it’s still cloudy. Water here is very hard, so some stuff was put in at the beginning to sort that and it reads ok.
T’other half didn’t realise how lovely they are to sit in until we spent my birthday weekend here, and it has a hot tub.

Bromine and sex tub user here. Mine is spotless. You can recover cloudy water. I’d suggest you got out and forgot to treat? 1st rule of tubs, always treat after use. I shock mine once a fortnight or after a particularly heavy petting session. I use an oxidizing clarifier. Genuinely though you do need to look after it. You got test strips?

I definitely got out and didn’t treat it – didn’t realise we had to until it went cloudy! Lady at hot tub shop has now told us to use a little bit of non-chlorine shock after we get out, so will do in future! The man at the hot tub shop today told us to make sure the ph is 7.2, no higher cos apparently Lincolnshire is water is full of, err, something or other, can’t remember what he said. So, ph reducer has gone in, left a while, checked and another dose gone in. Will see how it is in a while.
Thanks for all the suggestions, but we don’t need the beaker by the hot tub 🙂 The only beakers we have near it are full of either cider or beer 🙂

Must go now, cloudy or not, I’m going for a dip…

I would just like to say there have been no bodily fluids spilt in my hot tub, it is just for sitting back and relaxing in 😀

Apologies for thread hi-jack, but what’s the difference between the Echo dot and the bigger Echo – apart from the obvious price and size? Do they both do the same things? If so, why is the big one three times the price of the little one?

You won’t die, but you might get pregnant.

    At my age? 😯

She’s grown a bit, from 8kg when we got her to now 17.5kg, and getting taller too.

He’s probably in room quivering since JenJ moved in with someone other bloke, whom I assume is the only other person in the world who enjoys a long walk whilst holding a mountain bike.

    Hahaha 😀 Now I’m getting a bit older I need a bike as a zimmer frame 😀
We do however seem to have moved to somewhere with no hills, never mind mountains, so no more walking.

Wonder what happened to Sadbloke met him once a nice bloke.

I do believe he has already posted on this thread…

    Who experienced the weightlifter?

Noooooooo!!!! Wouldn’t get away with that on here!

I have to mention again the little girl called Pebbles, and another girl called Princess, who had obviously got sick of it and wanted to be called by her middle name of Jacqueline. And on a slightly different note, you could almost guarantee that the boy called Dylan would be a right little darling (with apologies to those here with a nice Dylan!)

I think at 14 weeks she has now reached the doggy equivalent of the “terrible twos”. I’m sure she does things she know she shouldn’t on purpose. And she’s torn my favourite new jacket today…

Poor woofie, hope she heals quickly. Extra treats due I reckon.

Poppy says the floor is very comfy.
She would also like to say she’s fed up with being mistaken for a cockerpoo or other similar mongrel – she is a poodle 😀

Swadlincote – I remember someone referring to it as the armpit of the universe. At least these days it’s not completely covered with a layer of coal dust, and it’s in the “National Forest”. Some of the trees even seem to have survived the attentions of the local yoofs…
So pleased I left there, but I have no idea why my son thinks it’s a good idea to move back…

We used Safestyle in our old house. Yes the salesmen are a pain, but we knew they would be, they started off at something like £28k (yes, really) and ended up with around £8k if I remember rightly, including double front doors. We had a LOT of very big windows and stained glass top panes on the front ones (12 in total!).
Amazingly, they fitted them all in one day, I think there were about 6 blokes doing it. The windows looked great.

I doubt vegan Yorkshire puds would be any good without the eggs and milk, I’d just serve the roast beef without them.

Please don’t take Poppy to the poodle parlour, let her embrace her curls

Surprisingly, as we live in the middle of nowhere, a neighbour half a mile down the road breeds toy poodles and does clipping – but she doesn’t like silly haircuts, so a general all over trim is what we have in mind when Poppy needs it.

Looks quite old though, puppy ?

She’s only 10 weeks old – she’s got a lot of growing to do to become a full-sized poodle.

Caution- contains seatpost. And boobs covered by hands.

I’m deeply offended by that photo, I may have to report it. Although, on the other hand, I can’t be bothered to be that offended or to report it. Carry on enjoying.

I’d be fascinated to hear how many people actually do this.

I do, as others have said, it’s simple.

Typical, I don’t visit the forum for two or three days and miss all the fun – and I can’t be ar, sorry, bothered to read all this either. I think I get the gist of it.

So I find myself shrugging my shoulders with no desire for change

But surely that’s a good thing? Doesn’t it mean you’re reasonably content with life at the moment?

Edit: Sorry, but I have to say it – it’s counsellor in this instance 😉

Gosh, you’re all very young aren’t you?
The first car we had when I was very very little (early 60s) was an old Ford Pop. I still remember my dad replacing the floor in the boot with plywood. It was one of only two cars on our road – the other was also a Ford Pop.

I was always a Daddy’s girl, sadly lost him three years ago. He made it to 89 and was still pretty fit having played badminton up to the age of 80. Miss him loads…

I don’t understand that “streetcheck” thing. According to them there are 286 people in my postcode – I doubt it very much, there’s only 4 houses!!

Very mixed neighbours here – swedes on one side, turnips at the back, cabbages the other side, wheat across the road, and maize a bit further down the road. 😆
