Tis a fact of life – boys are afraid of girls 🙂

I do accept that some women may need help with some of the side effects, especially if it happens early. It’s just my personal philosophy to get on with it! And of course the plus side – no more periods 😀

I don’t know what all the fuss is about menopause – the only slight annoyance was the hot flushes. It’s what the body is meant to do, so I let it get on with it.

I never had a good night’s sleep since having kids (the oldest is now 30 -eek!), but the last few months I do seem to be sleeping through the night – the only problem is I ache more in the morning!

They’re in a drawer – I shut it – why would I need to keep it tidy? 😕

My Grandma may have been a bit older than the majority mentioned here – a terraced house, no garden, just a small back yard with only an outside loo. She had a wireless radio, which was a huge novelty when we kids were very young, no telly then! The best thing was the piano in the front room, we must have made a right racket on that.

Another vote for the Myka – full suss for me, although I do seem to ride a lot with the rear locked out, then forget to unlock it on rocky descents 😳

Altura Night Visions are made for commuters, ie people who maybe don’t go that fast to get that sweaty, so not very breathable – but boy are they visible at night 😀
I’ve had two of the Night Vision Evo jackets – nicer feeling fabric, but didn’t last very long – lost their waterproof-ness despite washing with Techwash and reproofing. Got a Gore Paclite now – will see how long that lasts!

“Show me how you would check that the power assisted steering is working before starting a journey.”

Errrm, how do you check it then?

Obviously, they hadn’t invented that when I took my test – and passed first time of course 😀

My pet hate is people who use excel as a database – IT’S NOT A F***ING DATABASE! Although I suppose to be fair, Access is far to hard for your average person 😉

I really don’t understand anyone making excuses for speeding – there’s a big dial-type thingy in the centre of your dashboard telling you how fast you’re going,

Exactly, yet when I nudged a cyclist because i was staring at the big dial thingy, everyone got all shirty with me!
If you’re incapable of reading it at a glance, then maybe you shouldn’t be driving?

I really don’t understand anyone making excuses for speeding – there’s a big dial-type thingy in the centre of your dashboard telling you how fast you’re going, and even larger round signs at the side of the road telling you how fast you’re allowed to go – simples 😀

My name comes from where I used to live, also Sir Nigel was the son of the vicar of Netherseal, a couple of miles from where I lived as a child.

Colour? Errrm, think it may have been dark green, but aren’t they all?
(guess that rules out Thomas, iirc, he’s blue 🙂 )
And it had some old fashioned carriages, which may (or possibly may not) have been cream and maroon.

On the road, I just daydream (and no, I ain’t telling you what about 😳 )
Off road, it goes something like – “noooo, I can’t ride this – aw, f***, I just did” or , more often, “nooo, I can’t ride this, I think I’ll walk down!”

I feel for you Yunki – a very dear friend of mine died totally unexpectedly a few years ago, aged just 50, and another very dear friend has recently told me he has lung, bone and prostate cancer. Trouble is, the ba****d has moved to his sister’s and hasn’t given me a contact phone number!

Why the f*** do they put seats in the bike spaces? And why the f*** don’t the people sitting in them move to one of the many other empty seats without having to be asked?

I regularly use trains for work, and take my bike – never really had a problem. But I always avoid Virgin trains – they DON’T like bikes, unless you’ve pre-booked. I was even told by a Virgin lady (if you’ll excuse the phrase) at Crewe that I couldn’t get the next train cos it was one of their’s, without even being asked if I had a bike reservation.
If you’re doing a long journey, it’s always best to book in advance – some real bargains to be had, eg Manchester to Tamworth for £6.

It’s foolish populist nonsense to appeal to the Jeremy Clarksons of the UK.

Traffic, which is what everyone is complaining about, flows better when speeds are slower, hence the speed restrictions on the M25 when it gets busy. All this will do is get you to the next traffic jam quicker.

Reduce the speed limit to 55 mph, stop wasting fuel, reduce emissions, reduce delays, and if you need to be there quicker, just get up earlier
    My thoughts too.
And going faster than 70mph scares me 🙂
