I really shouldn’t quit quitting, but I just don’t seem to be in the right frame of mind.

I don’t like curry, but then I don’t seem to have stopped smoking either 😳 🙁

    Or an ellipsis…

For those who like to correct others’ typing and spelling mistakes.

I hate to mention it, but that’s not actually a sentence, therefore a full stop cannot be justified 🙂

Any meat is good meat 😀
I’ll be eating another one of Mummy’s fabulous roast Christmas dinners – it will be turkey as she’s very traditional – at 91 she’s allowed to be!

I have to admit to buying another pack of baccy – I’m so ashamed 😳
but I’m still cutting right down on ’em.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear – this is just not going that well for me 🙁

Sounds like an interesting ride – may have a look at that myself 🙂
And I second that comment on Lowestoft – if you have to finish there, the train station is very near the sea – get on a train out quick!

Am I the only lady here who’d really like bike bits for Christmas?
My parents have learnt not to buy me things – they give me money now, although I remember the first year after leaving the (now very) ex-husband I asked for a power drill – took a bit of persuading that was what I really wanted!

A lot of my clothes appear to be designed with my boobs in mind, especially my upper-body underwear 🙂

It’s not going so well for me – a total of 4 yesterday and 4 (so far) today – but at least it’s a step in the right direction. There is hardly any baccy left, and I really don’t intend to buy any more.
Probably doesn’t help that I’m feeling pretty down at the moment, due to lack of money and long-term lack of a man.

Didn’t see any kids on my route home tonight – but why do some cyclists think they need their lights on full power all the time? It’s a **** smooth tarmac path, and not even fully dark! Hope my eyesight recovers before the morning!

    (enters confession box)
I seem to have had 3 cigs today, one first thing this morning, one at lunchtime and one just after getting home – I actually did not enjoy that last one, lit it then put it down about 4 times.
This evening is the hardest time, but I’m not gonna beat myself up – when I’ve stopped before, it’s been by cutting them down, then when the current baccy packet is empty, I don’t buy any more.
    So I ain’t failed yet 🙂

I’ve got nicotine patches ready – they’ve worked for me before.

Can someone remind me not to light up tomorrow morning please?
I think I’ll have to give up this week anyway – I’ve only got £10 to last till Friday payday, and I need food more than baccy I guess.

Slow down – it’s a cycle path! Of course there’ll be wobbly kids on it.

Another vote for the Edge 800 with OS maps. I also have a Dakota 10 (bought for geocaching) which I’ve loaded with Open MTB maps – they’re a bit confusing – I find it hard to see what’s a track and what’s a road, but guess I’ll get used to it.

I’ve almost finished my one and only bottle of pear cider, so may as well go to bed – working tomorrow too 🙁

I’ve done voluntary work with Sustrans for about the last 12 years, including spending 2 or 3 weeks every summer building cycle paths – good fun driving dumpers and rollers 😀

Professional opinion – definitely balance bike – or as has already been said, take the pedals off an ordinary bike. Make sure you get one with a brake as well – some don’t have one.

I really like those roundabouts where the left lane is for the first exit only, like them there spiral roundabouts above. Makes it so simple.
Problems arise with getting in the correct lane when you don’t know the road, and the lane markings are painted on the ground, underneath queuing traffic.

    Dear panel,

When out & about, if one runs across a load of primary school kids doing cycling proficiency, is it acceptable to bunny hop over a speed bump and then accelerate away out of the saddle, waving cheerily?

    Andy
Wot, no wheelie? That’s what any local chavs normally do.

When I worked in a school, another (also mature) female member of staff and I had office chair races down the hall.

I used one for my Blackberry a while ago – was a bit worried when I got a whole list of codes, but tried the first one and it worked.
Sorry, can’t remember what website though.

Will bonfires be in bad taste after last night’s disaster on the M5?
Or maybe my comment is in bad taste – sorry 😳
I still wonder why we allow explosives to be sold to the general public?

what are you going to use when it gets seriously cold?????

Two hot water bottles! Although my flat doesn’t seem to get too cold at night, I don’t even use my lovely thick winter duvet since moving here.

Huuuge t-shirt in bed for me – unless I get lucky and have company. 😀
It’s been a huge t-shirt for a couple of years or more. 😥

    Edit: And no knickers 🙂

I don’t really think that what sex you are makes any difference, some people are always gonna be more easily offended than others – and that’s Definitely not a criticism, just a fact, we’re all different.
As a relative newcomer, I find a lot of the banter quite amusing, but then, it’s been said I’m not [sexist remark] your typical female[/sexist remark].
