I don’t wear foundation as I sweat too much, but do use eye make-up to try to make my eyes look a little less like piss-oles in the snow 😀

I’ve just bought a cheap laptop from PCWorld – £280 for a Compaq. Seems ok to me, in fact things happen at the speed of light compared to my old laptop (which may be something like 8 years old!).
    Windows 8 is, err, interesting…

I can’t remember how long I’ve been using contact lenses, but must be over 20 years and I’ve never “lost” one in my eye. For the past about 8 years I’ve used extended wear lenses that you leave in all the time for a month – it’s amazing being able to see when you wake up, and they don’t dry up at the end of the day like all the others.

How about Blackpool? Lots for the kids to do and see.
Although there are some strange folk live there, so maybe not.

Wood gone green and slimey? In Britain? What a surprise.

Or of course you could just use the Trans Pennine Trail to cycle to Warrington from Didsbury 🙂

My 89 year old Dad died last autumn, nursed at home til the end by my 93 year old Mum. She still lives in their country cottage on her own with no neighbours, just about manages, but is lonely poor thing. We live about 150 miles away, and my brother lives about 500 miles away, so neither of us get down very often. I’m really really hoping that she just passes away quietly in her sleep on night, and doesn’t need lots of nursing come the end.

Hicks Lodge is more fun on a road or cross bike 😀

Booths can’t be that posh, we have one in Blackpool. Very nice, as long as you’re not in a hurry, their staff like to chat to you 🙂

The worst kid’s name I’ve come across recently is Pebbles – poor little brat!

I can’t cope with all this double identity stuff. I’m going to have to make spreadsheet.

    Me too.
Waves at quin…, er I mean Caffeineoldbean 😀
And I well remember that Afan weekend with Ti29er and his very bling trainers. He offered to pick me up from Port Talbot station, but he went to Merthyr Tidfil instead. Taxi!

I’m not sure, post a pic of yours and we’ll compare.

Of my pants? They’re big, but not that big 🙂

Maybe some of the above posters should pop back to BM and say hi?

    And how would you know?

With pants like that, it couldn’t possibly be a woman’s.
    No, surely not.
    It isn’t, is it?

I did teach lots and lots of people to ride a bike when I was working in Manchester 🙂
It would appear funding is not available for adult training where I currently live and work 🙁

Shaving your heads with clippers is hardly the same as a haircut, I’m not sure how anyone could go wrong doing that! I cut mine, have done for many years, and it’s shoulder length and layered – that is cutting hair 😀

We’ve just invested a whole £45 in B&Q’s cheapest offering. If it only lasts one summer then it’s not a lot lost.

My confirmation Email went into my gmail spam folder.

The estimated delivery date is set to “1 January 1970”, the UNIX epoch
Yeah I had no email and that delivery date, so I assumed it hadn’t accepted my order, tried again, seemed to work. I then saw your post re spam folder and it seems I have managed to order twice 🙁

I did email the company yesterday and had a reply saying how pleased they were to hear a compliment and they would pass the comments on to the relevant driver. We really should take more time to praise when it’s earnt.

Grey has got to be better than that awful $h1t-brown plastic wood effect!! Am I the only female to fancy grey windows?

Definitely report it to bus company. I’ve done it twice and bus cctv showed their dangerous manoeuvres, and drivers got a warning. Hopefully they now drive more carefully!

Surely the fact that the human race still exists is proof that we don’t need everything to be sterilised?
My daughter was crawling at six months old – and put everything in her mouth – she’s a very healthy thirty now 🙂

Lots of bags of cheap rice from Aldi. Sprinkle around floor too.

Or put it right into a (large) container of rice?? Works for phones I believe, so would probably do the job.

Isn’t it like bike spaces on trains? If there’s no bike in it, anyone can sit in it, and then be in the way of the bike that comes along?

Both my mountain bike and my cx bike are more expensive than t’other half’s bikes (for some strange reason he has a penchant for On-One/Planet X) 🙂 – but then he has five bikes to my three 🙁

We’ve just taken out an old gas fire and surround, which left a similar small hole. Simple solution – new fire surround and a sheet of mdf as the back panel to cover the hole 😀
We were luckier in the back room, the existing original 1930s tiled fire place behind the gas fire had a proper fire insert bit, so no work required.

If you want nice gents toilets, try Barton Grange Garden Centre, near Preston. You may be slightly surprised 🙂

It’s not your eyes that are irritated, it’s your nose.

I wear contact lenses, and don’t have a problem – proof that it’s NOT your nose 🙂

Trek Crossrip does it all for me. It’s used for commuting, off road, touring, and most stuff in between. It even has front rack mounts 🙂
