I’ve used tile paint and it’s worked really well. They were in the kitchen, and the paint survived being wiped down. I can’t remember exactly what the tiles were, but I think something like a matt brown pattern, so not sure how well the paint would work if used on glossy tiles.

TPS doesn’t seem to stop the calls these days 🙁

Surely you should be using it through the winter? I had a campervan to use in the winter, ‘cos I got too cold in a tent.

Just been making my marzipan for The Cake, and put the almond essence, vanilla essence and lemon juice in the egg whites (separated for the icing) instead of the yolks – a trip to the shops to get more eggs and lemon juice was required.

Another vote for extended wear lenses – leave ’em in and forget about them for a month. The problem then becomes remembering when they need changing – I may have worn some for about three months, it’s surprising how comfortable they still are! I used to have the monthly disposable ones that you take out at night, but they just got too dry and scratchy towards the end of the day.

I’ve always wanted to get someone sitting in each of the arches of that bridge for a photo…

Suitable for 3 year old? I think leg length would be a much better sizing guide!! Don’t be tempted to go for one that’s too big, they still need to be able to put their feet down easily. Their first pedal bike doesn’t need to be expensive either, just get a cheap-as-chips small one, then when they’re confident get a better/bigger bike.

In a similar, but different, vein, why does eating a cream cake that weighs an ounce or two make me put on pounds? Am I some miraculous machine that can create mass?

I think I’m all mixed up – right forward on bike, but start off with left, and I’m better at right turns. The few times I was silly enough to try snowboarding, that was right forward too. I am also right handed.
It’s probably no wonder I’m rubbish at anything technical on a bike 😀

You need to make sure you don’t end up with a big cold and unventilated space above the now insulated ceiling where moist air can get in as that encourages condensation and, in the end, rot.

From the posts above, I think I’ve got this speeding thing sussed – if you’re on a motorbike and the police officer is too, it’s ok. If you’re in a car, and the police officer is too, it’s not ok.

I’ve done the IAM course… My only real gripe with the course was that you are expected to stick rigidly to the speed limits
