10 spaces? With locks? Brilliant!! Bet they’re not Virgin trains then!

If you might use it on your own, check you can put it up on your own! Some of those big nylon ones would be a nightmare!

Buy a decent air bed and it won’t squeak or deflate 😉
And don’t forget to put a thin foam mat on top for insulation.

Self-inflating mats are fine if you don’t need to be comfortable – they are just way too thin for me, although having said that my Mulitmat ice mat is 10cam thick, so not too bad, but heavy.
For cycle touring I have just upgraded from a Vaude Norrsken to an Exped Synmat in the biggest size – the Norrsken was really to narrow.

Lots of options – really hard to find out what will suit you without spending money!

After years of being force to eat a particular type

Forced to eat pudding?? No, don’t get that, surely no force needed!!

You wasted cookies just cos there ‘may’ have been a trace of poo in them? How do you expect your child to build up her immunity to germs? Bit of poo never hurt anyone!

How could anyone hate a pudding? There’s some I would perhaps not choose, but given no choice, pudding is pudding and needs to be eaten 😀

We always took our kids out of school for a week’s holiday (although not skiing) – it did them lots of harm obviously, my daughter got the highest grades in her year group at GCSE and A levels, both of them went to uni, both they now have well paid jobs.
Education used to be for the benefit of the children, if you chose not to take advantage of it occasionally, then so be it, your choice. Nowadays, it seems to be more for the benefit of the schools themselves – to get higher up league tables, therefore attract more pupils, which gives the school more money.

Reversing used to be the only way to get up very steep hills. I remember my mum doing it in the old Ford Popular.
I think you need to measure between the walls, things are often not as narrow as they look.

Think it’s time I bought a new satnav – mine decided not to find any satellites this morning. Good job I’d actually looked at the route on a map and could remember it!

Here’s a thought – does it also depend on the freshness of the eggs? I presume an older egg will spread more?

On the subject of starting cars using a choke, how many could start a car with a starting handle?

My first car was a Renault 6 (the 850cc engine version) and its starting handle was invaluable!
The yoof of today wouldn’t even know what one was.

Found a loose floor board in one house when I took the old carpet up… under it was a large purse… empty 🙁

I think it’s a shame that we are not allowed to mention an alternative solution to the unmentionable problem. After all, surely lots of people have discovered and indeed use it?

I only agonise for as long as it takes the Other Half to transfer the necessary money to my account – not long normally 🙂

Should I mention the other way to avoid adverts? Runs away (very fast!)

My parents moved out to the country when I was 11 – imagine growing up as a teenager with no transport (the nearest bus stop was 3 miles away, the bus ran every 2 hours), having to be taken and collected by mummy or daddy from the weekly disco in the nearby village 5 miles away – not exactly what I would have chosen!!
A small town sounds a much more sensible idea of considering kids.

Any cake with filling and icing. Obviously, carrot cake doesn’t count as real cake DOES NOT CONTAIN VEGETABLES!!!!

Nearer 60 than 50 here. The current pain in my left heel, right ankle, right middle finger and right shoulder mean I’m not feeling the pain in my left knee so much! After cycling about 8 miles this morning then a walk of only just over 3 miles, I now can hardly even get out of my chair 🙁 Getting old sucks!

They grow out of it – eventually. I do believe now my daughter’s 31, she’s stopped behaving like a teenager. I’m not sure the same can be said for my 33 year old son however…

I had a video sender set up – not entirely sure what it was called – but that sent recorded stuff from a hard drive recorder to an ordinary tv. I’m sure you’ll find something if you google that.

As someone who’s always kept cars until they die, I cant believe some of the modern fancy-pants things some think are essential! The necessary things are the properly adjustable driving seat and steering wheel – anything else is just laziness and more electronic junk to go wrong and cost lots.

4 hours for a fast bake? Blimey, our normal bake is only just over 3 hours! The fast bake is about an hour.

The best prices are normally advance tickets, not last minute – as far as I’ve experienced.

(waits for someone to tell me otherwise)

Reminds me of when I used to teach 3 to 5 year olds at my local dry ski slope – I hope your ESF classes have better ratios of instructor to kids than I did. Someone (clearly NOT an instructor) decided it was ok for me to have 10 of the Little Darlings in one class – fortunately two of the dads were really, really helpful in returning said Little Darlings to the start point and the correct way up! A 3 year old does find it really difficult to side step up a slope, after all they haven’t really been walking that long.

Have you not got one of those cheap “hardware” shops nearby that always have stacks of plastic boxes outside??
