This! Took it for its maiden flight last night – and crashed it!

Just need to make stronger motor mounts and it’ll be ready for testing again

Is there going to be anywhere we can park in Hadleigh and then Walk to the Venue? They want more money if you go to the Park and Ride as they suggest!

    Ok, sound good then.

Is there any advantage to building your own wheels nowadays?

Seems a waste of time for road, but wondered if it’s still worth it for MTB?

I’ve got a set of Fulcrum road wheels which I really like, so wondered if the off road versions were as good!

JR owned by senior citizens tend to fall into the destructive category because old people can’t give them enough time/exercise.

It was a rescue dog. I assume it was either badly treated, or that other families had found her to hard to handle. She was fine but you just needed some patients with her. Wasn’t much for fuss either

Yep, some can be very docile and loving. My auntie had on like this, although he killed a chicken on a walk past a farm!

My Nanna had another that was a bit mad, didn’t like much fuss and would happily bite you if you wound it up!

Why don’t they do a study to see if stopping motorists crashing into cyclists would save lives?

I’m happy to wear a helmet. Just don’t want to be forced to wear one just incase a ****t on the phone accidently hits me!

Well the weather was great in the end! Rained early am, but was dry and quite sunny for most the ride.

There was a lot of climbing, mainly fire roads which I found a bit dull. Suppose you have to go up somehow if you go down!

The trails we not to bad though. The occasional massive puddle and muddy patches, but mainly pretty firm. I stuck to the Rocket Rons and was fine.

Bet your pleased at the amount of publicity all these discussions, love it / hate it have caused though! 😉

It’s not a charity ride. A couple of months ago there was a memo going round that they wanted to find a cyclist, preferably called Francis, who wanted to ride a few stages of the tour.

It’s an ad for Carrera bikes at Halfords.

Trouble is you hear the same clip over and over which gets annoying. They should have done it as a mini documentary so the story developed over the weeks

One of the guys who works at our sponsors shop got short listed apparently.

I think my blood would boil if I saw what some of the people would be on here!

I work at quite a big public company where it seems that you get paid by the amount of time you’ve served here. Totally wrong IMO. Why should someone who answers telephones and do admin work get paid more than someone in a skilled job, just because they haven’t been there as long!

Sometimes I really wish I’d have gone for a job in a trade such as Plumbing, Electrician etc as everyone I know who does that earns good money (even though they all moan they don’t as they drive around in their new cars, and go back to their own homes they have bought and go on their 2 holidays a year!)

I’m still struggling to earn a decent wage as a Graphic Designer even after working for about 10 years in the Bizz, just doesn’t seem to be any money in it anymore. Plus we don’t get paid overtime, or get any bonuses! Sigh!

As for your stickers, I’d go for unicorns. They look ace.

I’d go for a Liger, they’re mythical creatures!

We went to Olu Deniz in Turkey a year or so ago.

While most of the locals were friendly, a lot of the staff in the hotel and some in the resort were the biggest letches ever! The waiter would practically chat my fiance up every morning and virtually ignore me. Called my Number 12 (my room number) when I was by the pool.

They also refused to let me into the hotel when I brought back drinks to have in our hotel room at night. Wouldn’t go back!

Thanks for the advice so far!

I’ll perhaps put my url up when I’ve done a few tweaks, but please just constructive criticism please! 😐

Hmmmmmm. I’m afraid that most, if not all design agencies will expect a level of web design knowledge.

It’s all relative though Binners! I can put sites together and create web banners, html emails etc, but I’m not an expert. Just like a carpenter isn’t an expert at plumbing but can probably put a heating system in if they needed to.

rewski, people have mentioned it’s not that great out there still at the moment. Wasn’t sure how true that is.

It’s just about bareable where I am at the moment if it’s not a good time to be trying to move. Just very frustrating. As the jobs gone from working on setting up the companies corporate guidelines and producing brochures, adverts etc, to spending most my day doing tedious web amends and advert amends that the office junior could do!

you really need to get into peoples inbox with links to online portfolio, instant impact, most CDs don’t have time to read letters and cv’s, if they like your work then they’ll get you in for a interview.

Don’t CD’s get fed up of getting loads of emails from people looking for jobs though? What stops you from just pressing the delete button?

I do have an online folio, nothing amazing though as I’m print based

Hi Guys, cheers for that. Do you think a CV and cover letter are enough, or do I need to do some crazy thing to stand out as well?

Don’t get me wrong, I think the Rapha stuff is really nice! Just don’t like their pricing point decision which only makes it accessible to certain groups.

I’d also recommend Vulpine[/url] as it’s been set up with a lot of passion by a cycling nut! Lot of attention to detail as well.

I really used to love Assos, but when I was younger it was out of my price range. Now I’m a bit older and it is almost in my price range I’m going off it because it seems to be the clothing of choice for fat city boys and people who train with aero wheels!

In to Santini at the moment

When Sarah XXXXXX who you fancied like mad came over to go clubbing with you in Derby for the night for her birthday. And when your were sleeping on the floor when you let her sleep in your bed and she said you could sleep in the bed with her, that perhaps you should have tried it on!!

i get this if i push big gears whilst sitting down, i’m only a skinny chap with scrawny legs.

spinning easier gears, or standing up more seems to prevent it.

Yes think that’s what caused it in the first place, being tired, cold, and pushing big gears up climbs as I usually do. Never had and injuries like this before so it’s pretty frustrating!

Ok, so running might not be a good idea then!

I’ve been using anti-inflamatory cream which seems to help, but can’t seem to find a position that actually stretches that muscle!

    Lol at the comments here!

To be honest MTB’ing is not great in Leicestershire unless your just interested in XC. There are a few bridlepaths etc but you just have to wonder around and try and find them.

Love the Leicestershire Countryside though for road biking and really miss it now I live in Surrey.

I bet if I was driving and I crashed into another car because I couldn’t see properly I’d get at least half the blame! Disgusting.

I ran a Chorus 11spd Chainset with my 10spd set-up no problem until I got to upgrade the rest to 11.

If they did 10spd I probably still use them on my new Spark. Had DX shifters on my Stumpjumper up until I gave it away this year and still preferred them

Unless your using them on track, then glue them
