Why don’t you use crudguards instead and keep it? Or use P clip adaptors to fit proper mudgaurds!

If you get decent wheels, and decent tyres and tubes you will notice the difference!

Why not get a pair of hand builts?

I’ve found that factory wheels all seem to have about 6 spokes in them, so when one breaks the whole wheel taco’s! If you get a decent set of 32 spoked wheels with double butted spokes they will be a bit more elastic, plus if a spoke does break it will hold it’s shape better. Plus you’ve got more chance of getting a spare from any bike shop.

Loads of local cycle related business have redraw adverts from the mag now. And it’s all been kicking off on twitter all day about it.

His statement isn’t so bad I suppose when you see it in context, but if you substituted ‘cyclists’ for Jews / black people / asians, then you think how offensive it is.

At least if he gets sacked that will be one less Chelsea (Richmond) tractor jamming the roads up in rush hour!

Not the best (definatley not the best!)

Found a VHS video in a layby at the start of our local 10 mile time trial (this was about 20 years ago). Friend took it home and later that week insisted I watch it.

So anticipating some hot sexual action film, I was disturbed to find it was a taping of the film ‘Wicked Lady’, which half way through was overtaped with a film of a man setting up his video camera, taking his trousers down, and me swiftly switching it off!

Do the Campag levers work ok with the mech disc brakes?

Does the spacer kit work well?

A lot of women seem to start the new relationship before leaving the old one (according to what I read on here). Hope it gets better soon!

or ‘cheating’ as it’s more commonly known?

IMO more expensive calipers won’t make that much difference to the braking power or feel. Will be a bit lighter though. You could just get a decent set of pads that will make more difference such as the Cool Stop pads http://www.wiggle.co.uk/kool-stop-dura-aceultegra105-pair-of-cartridge-inserts/

Just remember that pre-race nerves are normal and help you by getting your adrenaline going for the race!

Make sure you have everything prepared for, I usually lay everything out the night before so you can see you’ve got everything when you pack.

As long as you have your shoes & helmet, you can borrow everything else if you forget. (remember your bike as well though! 😉 )

I’ve been using the Rocket Rons that came on my Spark and they seem ok.

Don’t seem to roll that fast but fairly grippy. They are useless in the mud though when they seem to clog up really easily. If I was going to keep them I would go for a Racing Ralph on the back, but I’m after a pair of X-kings after my friend reccomended them.

Did buy a pair of Bonty Mud-X 1.8’s and really liked them. Used them when it was soft a month ago and they seem to grip really well and roll quite quick. Not sure how well they would cope on really rocky stuff and I managed to snake bite the rear on a kerb running it at 35psi. Want to get a set of new wheels and run them tubeless on them for winter.

Would a labrador be up to being a trail dog?

We used to have one and it liked walking, but so sure about running that much!

How well do tension meters work when your building wheels?

Do you use them to get the whole wheel roughly to a correct tension as a whole?

Or can you tension each spoke to an exact tension and it will guarantee the whole wheel is true?

Not off road (done loads of those this year though!)

Hit this lump on the way to Hampton Court this morning at about 25mph

Doesn’t look that big in the photo’s because of the angles, but it was like hitting a brick! Throw me up and I was doing an uncontrolled rolling endo for about 10 metres with me thinking ‘this is going to hurt if I hit the road!’ but managed somehow to land on the grass verge.

    Still hurt and did this

    Not very pleased!

    VOE

Even if you got back with her, which I know is what you really want, she will mess you around again and again. You will never be happy with her so you might as well put your time and effort into moving on and finding a woman who will treat you well and respect you.

Better to find a new woman you will be happy with than spend time with someone who will make you unhappy.

Funny how most people have said about not having to watch TV!

Get fed up of having to watch crap on the TV with the other half. Better now we live in a flat with a seperate Kitchen as it means I can cook while listening to music again.
