I’ve ordered one of the 2.0 normal folding tyres thanks. I was using the Race Speed versions of Conti’s, but with the sidewalls cutting so easily I thought I’d try the normal versions for now.

Cheers! Think I’ll be keeping the 2.2 X King up front. Mainly XC and some trail centre use.

Cheers! Has anyone tried a 2.0? Is it too narrow?

The Evans at Waterloo is meant to be a bit more MTB orientated, but not much from when I’ve been in there

Handed mine in Monday. Took me until after lunch to do it as I was nervous and waiting for the right time. Made a nice change for my my boss to be gutted that I was leaving. My last job you could see my boss was pleased when I handed my notice in – bitch!

Take a look at Websites you like, and then have a look at the coding behind it. Then try altering the code in say Dreamweaver, and see what happens.

This site is also useful W3Schools

Pollyanna Woodward on the train to Waterloo a few months back. Didn’t realise it was here until we were getting off the train. Very pretty in real life too!

You could do Putney and then Kings Road so you can miss Hammersmith, but to be honest it’s a lesser of two evils!

As above. Assume no one has seen you. Assume everyone will try and cut you up and move across your path.

Hammersmith RAB is not that nice, at least the traffic is travelling fairly slowly most of the time though.

Make sure you don’t switch lanes, and if you do check you are clear and signal clearly

Damn, couldn’t get it to embed!

Brings back memories of listening to all this on local pirate radio. Back then though you couldn’t find out what the tracks were called to get copies. Still have tapes of recordings of pirate radio shows!

    I’ll second that!

Although that climb at the start was a killer!

Shouldn’t it be ‘I don’t need to pay road tax’ though!

    Or

‘You don’t pay road tax, and neither do I!’

I got this frame because I broke two other bonded steel Dyna-tec frames before it.

Like you mention, what would they replace it with if they did exchange it!

As above, plus the fact that the crack wasn’t there at the start of my ride! 😉

matt Illingworth (commonwealth gold medalist – so I guess he counts) – used to live locally and Id love to say I used to go out riding with him, but I used to start off with him and then him and Jason White (currently in Halfords TOB) used to bugger off and Id never see them again?!

He Matt Illingworth came out on the Beeston Chaingang I used to do back in the day when I was at Derby Uni

    Roadies or MTB’ers?

    I’ve ridden with

    Cav – at Hog Hill
Magnus Backstead – on the London to Paris ride. he did us a leadout for one of the sprints, which was pretty awesome!
Stephen Roache – on the London to Paris again, sat next to him in the bunch but was to shy to chat to him!
Lucy Garner – Was back home and riding the local club run and she came along. She was ‘just’ Junior Cyclo Cross champion at the time.

I was in Belgium last month to see a friend who mechanic’s for a Pro team. He asked some of the riders if I could go out for a ride with them so I ended up riding with Emilie Moberg (who rides for team Hitec Products), Audun FLØTTEN & Sondre SØRTVEIT ) who ride for Team Joker Meridia. Emilie was reccying the Mollenburg cobbled climb for the womans Tour of Flanders, so got to climb that with them (and I wasn’t last!).

Rode at Hillingdon last night and we had half of the Sigma Sport team there.

Is there any SRAM or kmc model that’s equivalent to xt, or are they all pretty much the same?

Got some in my M frames. Similar to persimmon, but you can use them in very low light and in dark, where persimmon are a bit to dark for night

The spacer that spaces the calliper out from the fork. To allow for larger discs etc. Are they universal fit?

Good bit about the Olympic Park though.

I still like it as it was one of the original mags around when I was a kid. Also good for new kit reviews. And doesn’t cost ten quid like some other mags!

Would be better if they did ‘proper rides’ and not just about getting 60ft of air while doing 6 back flips! Back flips seem to be the new Downhilling nowadays!

Yes Leicestershires pretty flat and not that great for MTBing. I fell out of love with it a bit living there, but then rediscovered it again with the Surrey hills here.

Cannock is good, but a bit of a drive. Swinley Forest not to far either. Bit bumpier N Leicsetrshire. I should imagine in these days of strava etc that it will be much easier to find routes and put them together.

Western Park BMX track was always good for a laugh, if its still there!!

Yes both as bad as each other!

What would be a good set to get as replacements? Or can I fit new seals myself? Is it the levers or Calipers that are the fault!?

I ride XC, don’t need huge stopping power and want something fairly light. But don’t want to , or need to spend hope money!
