I’m tempted at the moment by a Mega and forsaken my Pitch. Wondering if it would be any better?

Interested myself as I have a Pitch currently

Got one of the original Blue frame ones as a 2nd hand frame only a few years back off here.

Currently set up as follows

Raceface 2*9 chainset
Nukeproof bars
Fox Talas 36 RC2
Fox DHX Air5
Hope M4 evo

It rides very good and much better than my old original enduro.

Like the alpine for that price if I could find one

Hes a scooterist not a motorcyclist… most scooter riders all where L plates as they only have to pass a CBT to get on the road…I dont classify anyone who rides a scooter as a motorcylist!!!

Yep will deffo try both out…I am running fox talas 36rc2 which I really like

I reckon I would need new front mech..maybe a 32t ring and a axle setup for the hope rear

Been looking at the nukeproof mega am frame which looks ver TT nice and around half the price of a alpine..

Gonna find a dealer near me that has both to try out

Any thoughts on the nukeproof looks a step up from the pitch

Quick question for the front mech did you leave it bolted on or did you chamge to a downtube mount ans bring it nearer to the top of the chainring

Cool thanks my pitch is the original blue frame with red shock arm so likely the same as yours

Do you happen to know whether the chain rings are compatible across makes I have a raceface chainset and shimano rings are so much cheaper

Just a quick question

Is this bladder specific to certain fox 36 forks? I have a Talas 36 RC2 circa 2007/08 I think which probably needs servicing in the near future. If the bladder cant be serviced then I m left with either getting the FIT cartridge installed or i I buy say 2nd hand pair of Van/Float 2011/2012 would I still be in trouble come service time as they use bladders?

That is pretty poor…how do you know when a bladder is gone

very good 😆 – I see what the video is showing which is a complete re-seat of the cable at the lever end. I think I will refit from caliper first so the kink is at the level end and see how much I need to un-kink

Dont really want to b re-bleeding to be honest

Thanks for all the advice – So I can loosen the connector which gets the majority of the kink out but dont want to loosen too much.

Is the suggestion to loosen connector twist hose independantly and then tighten back up?

Looks like I might be filing the adaptor a touch to get it to fit my existing 180/200mm rotors.

Alternatively I seen some standard discs in 203/183 for around £11 each non hope guess these are fine to use

I love Hope gear – looks great and work just right over the past 12 years that I have had Hope brakes.

Just thinking whether to go for the braided hoses as well?

Also anyone seen any deals on these brakes at moment?

Taken a look – might have to get new dics by look of it as there isnt a 200 adaptor

on that spreadsheet mine worked out as 92p per mile including depreciation

Did bot this year whilst on holiday.

Wall was Ok but had a pretty lengthy climb which kinda killed it in terms of being interesting. Cant really remember the rest of it.

Whites was really cool – did it when it was absolutely tipping down with rain..

I have a set of 685 and still ride with my hands on the edge of the bars where the bar ends are and always have done.

Would be good to try different size bars to see if it makes much of a difference – any shops do trial runs?

I had a 36rc2 talas and dhx5 air on mine and it rode fine now swapped bits over to a pitch
