I used a Ghost Drift on a recent trackday and the footage was very good in 1080p. I would take a look at these and they are a bit cheaper and come with a variety of mounts

Cool- bearings seem all fine its just the sideways movement on one of the pedals.

Which way do you knock the bushings out?

Cool – Whats the damage on the bushes and which way do they drift out? I guess I will need to take the bearing out as well? in order to drift the bushings out all the way through the pedal or do they come out of the crank side?

So just remeasured and I got the figures all wrong

    Current seat post length 345
    Post above collar 195
    Post below collar 150
    Maximum available insert 200

So after all that I reckon a 380mm post will fit

I think where I went wrong was I was not including the whole bit that connects to the seat itself

    Thanks that does help.

The maximum insertion is around 200mm into the frame – specialised enduro

    I currently have 150mm inserted.

I guess it depends on whether you should ride a dropper post fully extended or not at all?

Looks like a small one at 355mm would suit – just the one that Merlin doesnt have

I converted my 2×9 to 1×9 over weekend on my Spec Enduro as I found that I didnt use the granny ring at all.

I use a 34t front with a 11-32 on back with all my standard XT/XTR stuff I already had. I purchased a Narrow Wide front 34t and away I go.

At some point I will go to a 11-34 on back when current cassette wears out but for my weekly ride and around Dalby over hols which doesnt have many hills I found that setup more than fine

Depends on what equipment you already have lying about which will help make a decision. I looked at that deal on Ribbles but felt it wasnt worth the expense of getting a 11-36 on back

Cheers guys…I have been just using the 36t front for ages now so have taken off the granny ring..mech and shifter

I managed red route at dalby just using the 36t and 11-32 on back so I might switch to a 34t narrow wide to try out as I have some pretty steep hills where I am…will stick with 9 speed for now…all good advice…

Probably stick up the front xtr shifter in next couple of weeks if anyone interested

    Cheers

OK will a trip down again and load up with grease I only out a small amount last time.

Just to be sure the lower bearing sits below the spliced bit rather than inside it? As I couldn’t seem to push inside the spliced bit

I searched on internet but couldn’t seem to find any advice

    Cheers

I cleaned it out a couple of weeks ago when I fitted new forks

Just so I understand..the bearing sits underneath the spliced thingy..it doesn’t have to be pushed up into it does it?

For the bottom there isn’t any cups just the spliced bit pushed up which falls out when taking forks out the bearing rests up against it..then forks with crown race on?

    Cheers

Use an Alum block for any cuts and yep using the same Merkur 34c and astra blades

Cant fault the combo. I bought a variety pack from one of the online stores to try out the blades. Found Gillette felt blunt and one of the others cut me too much. Stuck with Astra and bought like 100 blades for £8

I am keen to look at the Float conversion as I do not use the Talas at all – also upgrading to another damper does look expensive like £300 or such You could probably get a decent of 2nd hand Lyriks/pikes for that and not have to worry about lack of servicing parts??

Going to look into these optiond.i never use the talas bought as a 2nd hand pair years back…could these be converted to avalanche damper?

Also seen a 2nd hand pair od lyriks converted with rc2dh internals look pretty reasonable…any good?

Let me quantify as I may have misled…it does actually go into the small cog but as you rotate the cranks it seems to want to go back up one cog

I have disconnected the cable and rotate the cranks it still does it so it cant be the cable tension…I have moved the hl screws and it still does it until it comes off the frame completely. .the hangar looks fine..I could try swapping it over eith another hangar that I have to discount the hangar

Other than that any ideas…try another mech maybe?

I don’t want to go up the shop yet until exhausted all options

    Cheers

I checked all of the above and I dont think it is any of it.. The chainline does look like its at a quite extreme angle.

When I built the Enduro up I took off the parts from my Pitch and carried them across as is, so same bb parts with spacers etc.

Wonder whether it is this which is causing this?
