You can just buy the quadlock attachment to fit to the back of any case. it sticks on and I’ve never had any issues with it attached to my car or motorbike using the appropriate mount

Ive got an uswe bag airborne 15 that fits a backprotector, i just read through the description of the ‘patriot’ model and found the same backsupport included with the bag, on a snowboard site for a tenner

That is cheap will see if I can find it

I think a hydration with protector seems to suit what I am after.

Will take a look at the Evoc and uswe and go from there. Some of them look huge and are more like a large rucksack which I am trying to avoid

    Thanks

Thanks for all the replies. I need a pack to carry essentials like epipens in case of allergy as well as other medicines

Will take a look at some of these suggestions

Taken it off again and remounted. It’s on correct. Slight fold over on the rim tape but nowhere near the bead. It went on pretty easy with the air shot.

Still the same so Gonna scrap it. It’s a year old just annoyed I didn’t question this when new and warranty it then

So new front tyre time. Magic Mary in ultra soft or assegai in max grip. Couldn’t get on with minion previously

    Any other recommendations

Yeah checked all around the head. It looks pretty solid and equal all around

Its a shame as other than that it’s a good tyre but don’t want it to suddenly fail

Another thing I just remembered is that when we had a summer there were a few bubbles in the sidewall like blisters..which doesn’t sound good

    Thanks

Thule 591 here used for a megatower. No problem, I fitted an old inner tube over the clamping arms and you have to partially close it to them push the bike into the clamp as with the clamp fully open it is too wide to fit in the gap between frame and shock . Takes a little getting used to but all works out fine

Will take another look at the hope videos and try the back bleed again

The rear hose does have a bit of a tortuous route as it comes out the downtube and up and over the swingarm

I reckon removing the caliper and letting it hang will help

I have done this plenty of times on older hope brakes no problem so seems strange I can’t get this one right

I can see the bubbles leaving the bleed nipple straight into the hose

Thanks for all the replies. That’s what I had done previously as in one or two at a time

Thought maybe doing all four at a time would be a smarter approach.

Will carry on what I am doing then

    That’s interesting to hear mrlugz.

Been a long time fan of hope. Coming from m4 the. Tech 2 4 pots I think they are called which are currently doing service on my sons rallon.

I am tempted with the code rsc but then the hope are cheaper and nicer looking.

next question will be any tips on changinf internally routed rear brake cable

    Cheers

    Thanks for all the comments.

Going to narrow it down to code rsc and hope e4/v4. I like the simplicity of a hope bleed as in just like doing a set of motorbike brakes

Hayes a bit left field so will have a quick look at those

Will see what pops up on the classifieds over the coming weeks and go from there

    Thanks

    Probably too big😂😂

Will try cutting out more nose foam. I got a pair of melon goggles coming to try out. Seems a shame to have to trim out foam

All the helmets I have tried are dh ff apart from the giro unless I am missing something in the spec?

    Thanks

I looked at cutting out the nose foam but that basically means cutting out all of it.

Guess ff helmet and sunnies might have to be the way to go

Right so replaced the plastic carbon spacer

Greased bolts and fitted and torque up the stem to more than required

Let’s see what happens at next ride out.

If that doesn’t work will try a bigger spacer under the top cap to try that theory

    Cheers

All good advice. I will check again. I do have one plastic carbon spacer in there so reckon that would be a good start.

After that if still doing it will pull the headset apart and refit..

If it is the sfn slipping up what’s the best way to pull it out? Or is or better just to knock it down further and fit another on top?

    Cheers some good tips here

    As drofluf said,

Tools wise – allen keys, rubber mallet and circlip pilers, I downloaded the instructions from the SRAM website and read through them plenty of times before I started to familiarize myself with what to do.

Oil I bought online along with service kits you can get from TFTuned. When I bought the forks they came with a service kit.

Hardest part was getting the circlip off which took a couple of attempts, other than work methodically through the instructions

I would service the Lyriks. I have the same forks on my 2011 Enduro and they are bombproof.

Dead easy to service as well

Pulled it apart and found that I had forgotten to fit the inner o ring for the negative bumper which is now part of the length adjustment.

School boy error but thanks for pointing me in the right direction

I got one and use it for all rides, round the woods, trail centres down the canal path

Lyriks set to 170 can’t see any problem with it as an all dayer

They are a great bike but do require bearing maintenance

    Medium size here and I’m 5 10

Are you sure (ie have you measured) that it’s M5 left thread?

So its says on their rebuild kit!!

Yes in a nutshell. Its the bits that interact with the ground. Depending on tyres you probably only talking £20-£30 extra per corner for a decent brand. Better noise control, braking, grip, Why have a decent car if you only gonna stick rubbish on it. Its not a 30k per year taxi

If you are looking at Pirelli P Zero you should also look at Goodyear Eagle F1, Michelin pilot sport etc as well

I am in the same boat – torn meniscus and a tear in the cartilage under the knee.

According to my consultant as there is no blood supply to cartilage it will not repair. All you can do is physio and strengthening exercises around the knee to support it.

I have had this for 6 months and whilst it is definitely better – It is time to either put up with it and not be able to run as well as I used to or cut the tear out

I ride because I like riding bikes even on shit trails with shit views, I don’t know how fast I am and I don’t care.

This is the only reason I ride – each to their own I spose. A bit like any hobby there are those that just enjoy it and there are those that get all anal about stuff!!!

What is Strava anyway – no idea don’t care
