I have an enduro and my mate has a spicy. The enduro is better going dh and a more fun bike, but the spicy is a tad better uphill I found.

I’m just about to finish week 6. It’s been pretty tough. I’m looking forward to riding lots of xc and mincing along the trails for a bit :lol:

I love the hubs and headsets. Seatclamps are not great (salsa are way better) and brakes seem good, but a bit pricey (would rather have shimano).

I have no idea trail centre wise. The most crazy thing I have seen is in steyning in west sussex.

25ft steep stepdown double, straight into a left hand burn, into another and then onto a tiny bit of northshore with a 10 ft drop leading straight into a big hip jump at the bottom!

It is bonkers. The stepdown into the burm defies the laws of physics…..

So the consensus is that they are cack. Surely there must be something out there that is half decent and about 25mm stack?

A good friend on mine went and they overbooked the uplift. The had people waiting half an hour for turnaround on top of the usual wait. Extracting the urine if you ask me.

I’m curious if it has got any better. Not going to find out from someone who has ties with them.

@chvck it truly is a great frame. I had a 15.5 and i’m 6’3 :-) Ran it with a stupidly long seatpost and still not even close to proper leg extension. I agree it is brilliant for dh.

It could also be that you had a good experience, but in general their customer service is poor and they don’t bother to answer the phone or emails. :wink:

Pretty much all of the chumbas look really nice except the dh bike and the evo. Fell out the ugly tree, hit every branch and chewed on the root.

I’m confused, I thought the bfe had the same geometry as the soul? ie xc and needed a 150-160mm fork to slacken it out for dh?

How slack is the Bfe with pikes?
