Try glucosamine sulphate and MSM. It’s helped me. Load up at first and now 4 months later, I take about 2 per week.

Ski holiday would be good, and I agree to wait until after the festivities and I would also tell your Dad your plans to do so.

I’ve flashed other drivers several times, but it can be tricky getting your trousers down when you’re doing 90 on the motorway. I find it helps if my mum holds the wheel then I can use both hands.

I’m fortunate that I’ve been to a lot of good restaurants, but I suppose the one that stood out the most at the time was the Louis VX in L’Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo which is run by Alain Ducasse.
Yer man Roux’s place Le Gavroche is top notch too, as is his new one at The Langham.

The fact that you can talk about it is a good thing. I’ve only ever had depression due to hangovers and that’s bad enough, but I’ve seen family members suffer and 1 suicide and the pain it causes to those closest is terrible.
There’s always those willing to listen and chat- plenty good folks on here. Discussing it will be therapeutic for you mate. Getting out for a blast on the bike will help clear the head too.

Willard, think its about 45 ft from memory. No idea if it would stand the wave, I’m guessing its not the first time its been like this though.

Northern North Sea are usually around 30M to the lower deck. I remember in the mid ninties working offshore and there were 120 Knot winds and the waves were hitting the cellar deck and knocked the gratings out. It was a big fixed platform and guys were thrown out of their bunks.
You wouldn’t want it much higher than on that photo though.

Where do you live? If it’s prone to snow, and your keeping the car for a while it may be worth buying extra winter wheels/tyres as they do in Canada.
I worked there for a while myself and seem to remember they had to be changed by law from around Nov-March.
I considered doing this last year myself but managed to get by without although they would have helped in the snow for sure.

I’ve seen pissed up youngsters in just about every country I’ve bin to, bar Bangladesh. Might be a reason why they don’t have a problem with binge-drinking there though…

It is part of growing up. Just that some people never grow up in that respect, which is a bit pathetic really.

It’s interesting that since I’ve moved to Spain, I’ve noticed far more of a “going out at night” culture but it’s for tapas and drinks and they take the kids too and I’ve never seen anyone rolling around drunk, nor seen the slightest hint of trouble.
There’s a supermarket near my house and I’ve often seen the teenagers near there drinking wine (as teenagers do) but they don’t give any cheek when I walk by and I’ve never felt intimidated in the slightest. There seems to be much more respect here.
It reflects back to a lot of what was said on the tottenham riots thread earlier in the year. There seems to be more of a culture of respect and family values in other parts of Europe that we’ve largely lost in the UK.
