Mine turned up this morning. Time to give the chain a degrease and see if it works for me.

    Both is preferable.

Great fun to be going through the woods but at the same time i like exploring places that are often forgotten about in the middle of nowhere.

Good progress. Base looks reassuringly strong :)

I imagine the posts make it considerably easier to keep it all level. Will probably do similar when I come to building mine. Did you concrete/post create them in or just beat them into the ground?

The way some scuttle out the way I’d consider an MP3 player small speaker and some Benny hill music for your approach as they scurry out the way as if you were a freight train.

They stopped them in line with the release of the bronson and solo.

Yea polycarbonate will be stronger and more scratch resistant than Perspex.

Both very easy to work with if cutting/shaping yourself.

Think Perspex strength will depend on thickness.

If you went for a sheet that was say 5mm thick I would hope it would be pretty resistant to an attempted break in.

Bear in mind normal Perspex scratches reasonably easily compared to polycarbonate.

I’ve got budget acceleras on my 19s.

Quieter than the original commercial tyres and comfier.

Dry weather grip is fine, wet weather seems ok so far (I do drive like miss daisy most of the time though).

In what size? Is your van on standard steels? Alloys?

Got to be a caramel wafer! great mid ride snack :)

That’s also my dilemma between a solo and bronson. Thinking if the bronson climbs aswell as reviews say it does then why not put up with a fractional weight gain over the solo.

Do any of the UK suppliers have both as demonstrators? Guessing Stif may do.

    Great vid.

As said nice just to see the riding instead of music over the top.

Got to love the hope sound :)

    Trail_rat you’re a bit out of date.

Vans up to 7.5tonne can do 70mph on a motorway .. Reference Uk speed limits (it changed earlier this year).

So the gain officially speaking speed wise of being registered as a motor home is now on single carriageway and dual carriageways.

I’ve got a T5 which has seats in the back that I can turn into a full width bed for the occasional night away but
I’ve no intention currently to turn it into a full blown camper. All depends on your needs, just kampers had no problem insuring it with the altered seating/occasional bed.

Bushwacked – yea he’s a KC registered purebred.

I’m sure you will have many happy years to come.

Our lab doesn’t jump up at all unless he’s told he can. Amazing with children, my 2.5 year old can do pretty much anything with him and he just isn’t bothered.

We had a slightly iffy time when he was around 18months but as our vet confirmed he was in his teenage years so fighting to be top dog.. Bit of rough play with me to show him who was top dog and he’s been fine ever since.

Being a pack animal sooner or later you’ll have to put them in there place. I’m not saying to hit your pet, a light tap on the nose with a rolled up newspaper works, I was told never to hit (not that I expect you would anyway) as you don’t want them to associate a hand coming towards them with being hurt and could cause them to lash out (possibly at the wrong people).

We found with the water it was best to remove the water at say 10pm.. Final wee around 10:30pm then sleep time. At your puppy’s age their bladder is tiny so allowing free access to water overnight won’t help with stopping overnight toilet breaks.

Here’s my 6year old with Jinx who’s 2 in a month and still believes he’s a little puppy!

Just seperation anxiety, all puppy’s go through it.

Sure he’ll be fine given time.

I’ve got a T5 with a caravelle triple which folds to a bed, wouldn’t consider going back to a car now.

I’m fortunate to not need mine to commute as I ride to work so the van is saved for pleasure/leisure activities :)

    As Grey has said.

You need to stop drill the crack to ensure if wont travel any further.

After that providing there’s plenty of post in the seat tube it will be perfectly useable.

    All depends on your usage.

For me the unlimited data on giffgaff is awesome. I stream music while at work using an app on my phone.. Plus going on here, videos etc.

I used 3.2GB last month… Work that out on 3-2-1 and its not so good compared to the £12 I give giffgaff.

Depends on the carbon used and what resin is used.

Lowest I’ve seen is 120degrees Celsius. And even at that point there was just a small amount of surface debonding.

I bought my carbon 456 when I was about 125kg it has
Shown no problems at all. I use slx cranks and no real noticeable flex.

The lighter I’ve got the more fun its become to ride :)

As said above due to the size of the BB shell you need a high clamp not a low.

I made the same mistake on my 456c :)

I have one of their alloy stems I bought as a stop gap as it was cheap… Upon arrival I was amazed at the quality.

No intention of selling/swapping it now!

    I’d look at getting..

    Chain tool,
Chain whip (for holding cassette to remove),
    Cassette lock ring tool,
    BB tool,
    Spoke key,

Most other parts on a bike are allen keys or spanners so nothing really specialist required.

I’m the same measurements as you and ride an 18″ c456 seems fine with a 400mm post. And was what was recommended by on-one/brant size wise.

There is quite a lot of post. But length wise its pretty spot on with a 70mm stem (I could go slightly longer or shorter without too much bother).

Sorry to ruin your ti thread with a carbon pic.

    I’ve got a 456c which I built up from a frame.

Great hardtail… Even better given the cost. I’ve done over 1000miles on it so far this year and really happy with it.

Can do all day rides on it or playing in the woods/trail centres. Mines currently built with heavy wheels and coil pikes to allow for me being a big clumsy rider and it tips the scales at a respectable 28lb 7oz (I can easily lose a couple of lb off of it without any bother).

I’m just over 6′ and general fall on an 18″ or 19″ frame.

Generally it puts me between a medium and a large. I know a 19″ is just about ideal and a 20″ feels slightly too big with a straight top tube (top tube length dependant of course).

More to it than just seat tube length. Is there any way you can try one first?

If you buy from apple it will always be an unlocked handset.

Other iPhones can be unlocked for a fee through your network provider (£20 iirc).
