I’ve got renthal fatbar lite carbon bars. Had no issue with them, plenty stiff enough and after a few spills they’re still showing no signs of damage.

Ok so it’s not quite 160mm but I still love my bronson. So versatile, my hardtails have become virtually redundant now.

Really enjoyed his series, as said the look at things from the athletic requirement side is very interesting to me. Seems like a good bloke to.

I’m on late shift this week so still at home at the moment but I will be braving it on the bike.. Will be fine (hopefully).

I used to alway buy MBR, in the last year or so i only buy it on occasion as said so much of it is on a cycle, the workshop articles, the riding tips and even a large portion of the route maps are just slightly altered versions of old routes.

The only magazine that appeals to me now is singletrack, I love the adventure articles and the whole get away from it all aspect. It is the only magazine I get and will happily read every article. Some may not be 100% to my interest but I can certainly relate to them all.

You have a triple chainset on a MTB oh the horror!

Looks like it’s ready to get dirty to me Matt. :)

    Oh I see sorry.

That looks like the standard stuff that the fit universal seats in Citroen dispatches and the like, shouldn’t be too hard to find.

I use one of these, perfect for road riding,

    Lumen800[/url]

Also got the lumenator, combined they’re amazing on the mtb, on road the little 800 is ideal. Amazing battery life too.

My children and I share a tamiya lunchbox.. It doesn’t handle great it rolls over round tight corners when travelling at speed, it does wheelies…. Half the fun is it rolling over and being a bit wild.

They generally end up in fits of giggles when it wheelies or rolls over.

Remember they’re supposed to be fun at that sort of age. Not just something to drive round in circles.

Been using a TLD A1 for the last 6months or so. Slightly warmer than my old giro hex but certainly don’t find it uncomfortably hot.

From a quality point the A1 is leaps beyond any helmet I’ve had previously.

As always fit and comfort should come first.

I’m currently using an evoc fr enduro for everything you describe.. Well apart from laptop carrying.

Plenty big enough for full days riding, I find it comfy to wear too.

I used a medium Hex and swapped to a M/L A1.. Such a comfy helmet.. Providing it works with your head shape!

HR 2 up front and an ardent on the back has been more than adequate unless it’s really boggy.

Been running a spoon on my hard tail for ages now. When I built my bronson up I decided to give a scoop a go (was new at the time last December).

9 months on and the scoop is still performing well and I’ve no intention of looking elsewhere fora saddle… Although some Ti rails may be nice ;)

I bought a sony rx100 a couple of months ago. Very pleased with the results.

Prior to that I was using a canon 5dmk2 but got fed up of lugging gear around so sold up last year.

The Sony obviously can’t compete against a full frame sensor and professional level optics for image quality but for riding photos and general photos of holidays/family it’s more than competent.

I’m on my second T5.. Bought brand new this time which was a bit scary but bought and paid for.

I have caravelle rear seats in mine as we have 4 children and a Labrador. They all love the van. Even the wife doesn’t know how we managed before with touran/discovery 3 etc.

Suits biking/family life perfectly, I’ve chosen a LWB this time for my particular needs.

I’ve got a renthal duo stem with carbon fatbar lites on my bronson.

No issues with stiffness/creaking and I am a fatty so it gets plenty of load on it.

New renthal apex stem does look nice. All personal preference if the rise/length suit your needs.

Hmmm wonder if it’s the ones that were in the catalogue
Looking grey/black but were actually green :/

Either way it’s cheap as chips for a G-shock!

I’d forget the discovery idea.. Well unless realistically you’re happy with mid 20’s to the gallon?!

Just put it as a lwb caravelle.. It’s a car according to a V5 and inevitably the same footprint/silouette.

I’ve been running a high roller 2 front and ardent rear since December with no issues.

Although on a couple of occasions I had wished for high roller on both ends in rear slop. Ace in the current climate though! :)

Would it not be worth buying one of those battery pack things to top up phone/garmin? They’re not crazy money.

I’ve recently sold my ’04 T5 SWB with 120k. Money wise you should be able to pick up a reasonable van for less than 10k for an 07/08 plate 1.9.

I collect my new T5 from the dealers on Friday. Of course I’m going to lose money on it but a well specified T5 will still hold sensible money for a good few years, and in all honesty I’m intending on keeping this one for a LONG time. :)

A bit of copper slip on the rear maxle may help.

My most recent was on a purbecks ride a few weeks ago. Tree branches over a boggy puddle, I wasn’t carrying enough speed, hit a slight gap in branches and had a slow speed OTB. Couldn’t quite get my weight back quick enough… No doubt I’ll do it again before long!

Thoroughly enjoyed it, did the full boar.. Wasn’t fast or graceful but I made it lol.

The feed station at m18 (couple in a motor home) were much needed. I’ve also decided on any event like this bananas are my best friend for keeping me going.

Did anybody make it up the mork hill climb?

This is the first time I’ve seen this thread and it hits a chord with me having lost my father some years ago to the big C.

I sincerely hope you manage to keep your standard of life as high as possible for as long as possible (that’s what we all want really), if there is anything that can be done to help/take mind off then I’m sure like many others will gladly lend an ear (or eyes to read),

As to a bit of find raising what about a STW pootle where each rider donates a bit. No doubt quote a few would donate a bit of cash in exchange for a ride and possibly some cake :)

Ah the joys of track days. Did a few in my old mk2 golf.

If memory serves me right this was 2003 when it was running around 300bhp from an audi TT engine with quaife 6speed box and ATB diff to get the power down.

Only thing I miss is the running costs.

I’ve been a long term giro user (best part of 15 years) and I’ve just made the jump to a TLD A1 wow it’s extremely comfy. The looks aren’t favoured by some but I like it :)

    I’ve got one of these,

    Worx drill

I’m sure the tradesman will say it’s rubbish but for my average joe putting pictures up and the occasional few wood screws when I get adventurous it’s great.

I have a very early T5 so miss alot of the electrical nonsense.

1.9 85bhp.. Soon to be going for its remap (should be between 135-140bhp after). Currently it returns around 40mpg on average (43ish on a run and mid to high 30s on normal journeys).

I’ve fitted caravelle seats in the back which can also turn into a bed. But keeps all comfortable on a run.

I used to be a nightmare changing vehicles all the time.. Quite happy to keep this for a long time now! :)
