I’ve got a pair of these. Extremely comfortable and well put together.

I’m currently using dmr moto RTs which are ok but have been recommended halo twin rails for commuting.

if you want cheap skate shoes have a look at the offerings on sports directs website. £20ish should get you a set of airwalk trainers which should work well with flats.

Carbon conducts though so shouldn’t it stick to that too?

As to the heat all depends on the resin used in manufacture. I’d check with the manufacturer if I were you.

Yea there’s no reason why not.

Think I may stick with my initial idea of an 18″ one.

I would like to be able to run a dropper post so obviously if I got for a 20″ my concern is not running enough post to make use of one.

    Lol.

I’m coming from a 16″ MsIsle which is great for throwing round but its hard work on longer rides as its so short, hence looking at the c456.

There’s 13mm difference in top tube between 18″ and 20″ c456 so not a lot in it really.

@IHN how much post have you got out on your 20″ to get the correct pedal position?

    Thanks for that hora.

Hopefully there will be some left on Friday (fingers crossed).

Trail rat if you think a VW is bad to service try a land rover!

Had a discovery 3 and everything was a horrendous price. I’ve got a transporter now. Much cheaper in every way and insurance is about the same (including the transporter with extra seats, windows, lowered alloys etc).

    As you’re all here…

I’m looking at ordering a c456 frame at the end of the week but I’m right between an 18-20″

I’m 6’1″ with 33″ inside leg. I could ride either but what would you suggest? Go smaller as its quite long anyway and live with a long seatpost, or go for a 20″ with less post but a slightly longer top tube.

It’ll be mainly for xc duties and a few trail centres.

If you don’t mind a little drive there’s the Quantocks, mendips, black downs all within a stones throw of Taunton.

Sounds like you need a Three legged thing[/url]

Extremely well engineered and lightweight (especially in carbon variety).

    It’s a mondeo isn’t it?

Breakers is probably cheapest option. May even stand a chance of finding one the right colour!

Oh could look at proofing your trainers with nikwax to help… Something like this should do the trick

    Nikwax

    Obviously other brands available.

Will be interesting to see some reviews given how well made the rest of the thomson range is.

If you can justify the crazy running costs of a Subaru then go for it.

Personally I’d like to think its better the devil you know. You always run a risk with any car you buy second hand (presuming the Subaru will be used).

I have a generator in mine for big jobs but if just pottering I have a gas based camping lantern… Bit of heat provided too and the gas canisters are pretty cheap to.

Titanium is a very hard metal so paint stripper will be fine on it. I expect whatever you use will require a bit of repolishing to bring back the full shine

Up is a very clever film. Kids miss the issues we as adults pick up. Very heart warming that the old man will do anything for his deceased wife. Kind of how you’d like to think all marriages are in an ideal world.

    I’ve got a similar target.

Aiming to loose around 3.5-4stone in the next 12months, this will not be a change until I reach the target but hopefully for life.

Going to give it a few months and then set a goal for the autumn with an event. Should be enough time to get fit enough to at least complete it lol.

I’ve got a 4s and think its a great bit of kit. Does everything an iPhone 5 will but a fraction slower and with a slightly smaller screen.

Personally I’m not a fan of some of the new Samsung galaxy phones and others where they’ve started making them bigger for video playback etc. if I want a bigger screen I’ll use a tablet/laptop or desktop.

I’ve got answer pro taper 720s on my MsIsle albeit with 1/2″ rise. Find them a very comfortable shape and not too much flex. Would recommend them to anyone.

    Have you tried europcar?

I know they do some odd ones such as the caddy maxi-life.

Incredible photos. You must have a rather good macro lens/filters to get some of those pictures!

Keep them coming nice to see something different.

I’m proud to be a dog owner and my lab is a complete part of the family… But he knows his place.

He’s not allowed upstairs near bedrooms or on the sofas/chairs.

I always clear his mess up as I see him as one of my dependants and thus I’m responsible for his doings/mess.

Some owners just can’t be bothered to take them to the nearest bin this is no reflection on the dog just that particular lazy owner, certainly doesn’t make us all the same though so put that yard broom away that you’re attempting to use to tar us all with.

Vw transporter kombi or caravelle would be a good call…
Plenty of space for bikes then!

Wife had a touran which was a good compromise between car and mpv.

I had a Land rover Discovery 3 previously which was lovely to drive/be passenger in… Just be prepared for the running costs!

there we go a lean chocolate lab :)

i personally prefer the look of the leaner working line labrador to the overbuilt show breeding line.
